We will get to know Oaxaca, culture, history, art and gastronomy. Designed for people who enjoy cycling and want to know special places. The first is 10 km from the city and is the warm town of Santa Maria El Tule where we will know the gastronomy market and we can make a traditional breakfast (option with Food), then visit the majestic millennial tree. The second place 6 km from the Tule is Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, we go to the village dam and if we have time we can know the house - workshop of a leather or leather craftsman and a traditional bread workshop. Note: Departure and return is by bicycle and from the office or space destined in the city center (35 km round on average). Experience in the use of the bicycle is necessary.

    Fun-tastic Experience!

For some this experience will be easy, others it’ll be more physically demanding. For me, it felt great to get on a bike and explore the city and surrounding areas in a new way. Loved the food, guides, and, of course, the special trees. I recommend it!

Great 1/2 day adventure outside of Oaxaca city!

We signed up for this ride with our two boys, 12 and 10 years old. Homero, the owner, immediately reached out to confirm that the boys had enough experience to handle the 35 km ride. We appreciated this honesty about how long/challenging the ride would be! He also invited us to stop by the store beforehand to make sure that he had bikes that would fit each of us (they did!). The tour itself was an awesome way to escape the city for a half day and enjoy the nearby nature. There were a couple challenging portions, but our guides were patient if we needed a break, or had to walk the bike for a moment up a wide dirt path. We loved the lunch/snakes by the reservoir and the Árbol del Tule. Both guides offered interesting facts about the local government and Oaxacan customs along the way. Highly recommend!

    Fun day in Oaxaca

The guide and itinerary were great. Only issue was chains kept popping off our bikes! Scenery was beautiful and riding as advertised.

One of the Best Things We Did in Oaxaca!

This bike tour was terrific—honestly, it might have been one of our favorite things we did while visiting Oaxaca. It was a great way to get out of the city and see more of the surrounding area. Our guide, Xenon, was wonderful. He had a well-planned route and shared interesting information about the places we visited, as well as the local culture and customs. The small group—just us and one other couple—made the tour feel nice and personal. One of the highlights was the rocky, uphill ride to the reservoir. It wasn’t easy, so be ready for a bit of a workout. But once we got there, we had the whole place to ourselves—it was peaceful and beautiful. The ride back down to town was fast and so much fun. We were definitely tired by the end, but it was absolutely worth it.

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
