Sights, guide and food good - vehicle and equipment terrible and ruined the experience
I was so excited for this day, based on other reviews, but it sadly wasn’t quite as expected. The good bits first - our guide Bart was great! He was very knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Also, we saw some great sights and enjoyed some great food along the way! The not so good was the bus - we had 21 passengers, which in itself was fine, but being in the last group to be picked up on the morning, the only seats left on the bus were in the back 2 rows. Again, wouldn’t have an issue with this except that the speakers in the rear of the bus were not working, meaning that we were unable to hear any of the commentary Bart was providing via his headset microphone. He tried to fix this, but to no avail. In addition, the bus was very old and very noisy- especially on uneven surfaces, which was most of the trip. The fan from the air conditioning unit was also at the back of the bus, making it even harder to hear anything. Later in the day, the air conditioning unit started leaking water onto those in the back seats. Again, Bart did what he could to fix it. Bottom line is that the experience for those in the rear of the bus was totally different than for those at the front but we all obviously paid the same amount for this experience! One other thing that was bizarre in this vehicle is that they had placed notices with the QR code for feedback on every window, right in the line of vision for the passengers. There was an old sticker on each window which they had obviously tried to remove at some point, in addition to a newer looking laminated sign. On a tour all about the sights of Hawaii, this made it really challenging to actually see or take photos from the bus. Again, issue is not with our guide - he did what he could and was very apologetic. The vehicle in the photos on the website is absolutely NOT the vehicle we had. It was a shame, because there are many good things about this tour but I cannot recommend it based on this experience.

Tour Guides Made the Tour Memorable
We had a wonderful day on this tour. Our tour guides made the tour memorable, sharing history, knowledge, and experiences to give us an historic, well-rounded, and fun view of the island. The food was good, too. The advice we received about places to go and things to do we found valuable.

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Honolulu.
How much does Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods cost?
+
Prices start at $128 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Honolulu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Honolulu is not rushed.
Is Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 271 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Honolulu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods?
+
Around 95 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Honolulu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Honolulu and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Honolulu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Honolulu?
+
Honolulu and greater Oahu run on early starts. Pearl Harbor memorial tickets release on a fixed schedule, the North Shore circle-island loop needs a full day, and the catamaran and snorkel runs off Waikiki fill fast in season. We rank on whether the operator secures Pearl Harbor entry themselves and how tight the circle-island itinerary really is. On Outty we rank every Honolulu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona Memorial & Honolulu Deluxe Coach Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Oahu: North Shore Tour with Waimea Waterfall. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Honolulu?
+
April to June and September to November, between the wet season and peak crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Honolulu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods?
+
Included: Hotel Pickup and Drop-Off from Waikiki; Macadamia Nut and Kona Coffee Tasting; Full-Day Guided Circle Island Tour; Air-Conditioned Transportation; and Professional Local Guide. Not included: Alcoholic beverages; and Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 8 listed pickup locations in and around Honolulu. Be ready about 60 minutes before the start time.
What languages is Oahu Circle Island Full Day Tour with Scenic Stops & Local Foods offered in?
+

+

+
