A Little Northern Magic
A very cozy cruise with Captain Luka and a few super friendly guests. Luka made sure we were comfortable and were having a good time and made hot soup for us. Not to forget, we also saw northern lights a couple of times despite the drizzle!

Special Dance to herald a miracle
Our host was very engaging, spoiled us with his “mothers” fish soup recipe and kept us entertained while we waited for the main event. We were blessed to see the northern lights so late in the season and didn’t require the famous northern lights dance. Such a treat and wholly recommended - Neil and Mia

Not recommended - Avoid
The boat was fine. But we were the only 2 who had booked and the guide, Per, was very resentful and angry about having to do the cuise. He was rude when we asked basic questions following his safety talk. In the end we asked him to take us home early. Then once you have gone on this trip you get bombarded with spam emails from Arctic Cruises with no Unsubscribe button.

Can't recommend
Our captain was a friendly man, that is about all I can say. This cruise never leaves the brightest part of town--not a good choice for seeing northern lights. On our evening, something was definitely suspicious because we turned up and were the only people on the cruise. It was very cold, even inside, and there was no program of information, very unlike any professional tour activity we have ever done. On our night, it was cloudy with no northern lights visible. So we cruised VERY SLOWLY for 2.5 hours in silence inside the cabin. Big waste of time and money. We were extremely sad because it was our last night in Tromso, so there was no chance of trying something different. I recommend you don't go for it.

Seeing the Northern Lights above Tromsø city can be truly magical when visible—but as it’s a natural phenomenon, we can never guarantee a sighting, especially on cloudy nights. Our catamaran tours are designed as slow, relaxing experiences to enjoy the Arctic atmosphere from the sea. Speeding up wouldn’t improve visibility, as cloud cover remains fairly consistent across the area. We normally keep the boat heated and provide thermal suits, warm drinks (coffee, tea, or hot chocolate), and fish or veg soup upon request. We regret if these weren’t clearly offered to you and will follow up with our team to ensure better communication. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us improve.

Aurora Borealis exhilirating sighting
We witnessed the Northern Lights by Luxury Cruise Boat run by Arctic Cruise in Norway. The experience was an exhilarating one! Pierre, our guide, our Captain, our Chef and our host was very thorough in his knowledge and tracking of the Aurora Borealis and thanks to him that we managed to have great sightings. It was our first time seeing this rare phenomenon and we are so glad that we did it with Arctic Cruise in Norway
