This is an excellent tour to join for Northern Light

We had a great night of aurora hunt. Klara and her associate got us to four different spots for views that are totally out of the world: 1. First aurora next to the wall of icicles 2. The green lady behind the clouds 3. Aurora with view over the bay 4. Fire at the fjord, and again aurora in front of that mountain. Klara, you might remember, this was from the night 3-22-2026. Other participants in our van attested to this night being the most outstanding one among all they have ever experienced. I am very thankful to Klara and her team for leading us to such memorable aurora viewing. Klara is professional, knowledgeable, and attends to everything and everyone in and out of the van. Tire is not in her vocabulary! Weather and other conditions can have an effect of your aurora viewing. But you can be sure of Klara and her team's effort no matter what. I do not know if you do this often Klara. You extended our trip by almost two hours that night. Was it because of the Aurora? It has to be your dedication to what you do. Thank you again for job well done.

Extras are worth the extra $$

Good guide, it’s worth paying a little extra to book with a tour like this that supplies the warm gear and a PROFESSIONAL photographer (vs some guy with a camera). But the weather was impossible and we saw absolutely nothing. He tried, he really tried.

    Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our northern lights hunt with Arctic Adventure tours. Our guide Klara was kind, knowledgable, and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our night. The thermal suits and boots were a necessary addition when standing out in the cold for hours, other tours provided suits but not the boots; these made a huge difference. The hot chocolate at the midway point in our evening was delicious and helps to warm you up! The freeze-dried meal was ok, not overly delicious but my partner enjoyed his. Would highly recommended if you are thinking about booking a tour!

    It was a delightful...

It was a delightful evening. Our guide Klara did a fantastic job setting expectations while still being optimistic and diligent about finding an opening in the cloudy sky. She found the perfect spot and we enjoyed hours below a perfect halo of clear skies where we were treated to some spectacular aurora. My phone camera is old, and doesn’t have night mode, (I highly recommend having a good phone or camera that lets you take long exposure photos) but luckily Klara took some great photos that we were able to download the next day. Don’t forget to bundle up! It gets cold. Additional shout out to the driver, the ride was smooth even though the roads were slippery and dark. Overall a great experience!

    Amazing Night of Lights

Klara and the team were amazing - it was a seamlessly wonderful evening where they worked tirelessly to find the lights even though there was very little chance because of the cloud coverage. We drove 3hours to Finland and we were lucky enough to see the amazing spectacle. The driver was fantastic, Klara was so enthusiastic and the food and camp fire just added to the experience. I would not fail to recommend Arctic Adventure Tours/ they made a dream come true.

Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.

How much does Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night cost?

    +

Prices start at $233 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.

Is Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 248 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night?

    +

Around 87 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Northern Lights Adventure – Into the Arctic Night start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tromso?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Minibus Chase from Tromsø with Chasing Lights, Northern Lights Big Bus Chase with Chasing Lights, Tromsø Northern Lights Chase We Go Where The Lights Appear. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tromso?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tromso?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
