    Must Visit Site

Short drive from Zabljak town. Road is good Entry fee is Euro 5 for adults, children below 15 get free entry. There are multiple paid parking lots. Some people park on road side also. From the main parking lot there is a well laid out flat road for easy walking. Around 10-15 minutes walk from the parking to the lake. There are multiple kiosks on the way selling honey, souvenirs, wooden products etc There is also an ice cream vendor on the way If the main parking is full you will be directed to another smaller parking lot from where one has to go over an uneven jungle road for a few minutes to reach a play ground for kids and then join the road from the main parking. There are multiple benches on the way to relax. The road opens to a beautiful view of the black lake. The view is very breathtaking. There are huge mountains and tall trees in the background. The toilet is available at the entry point but it is in very bad condition. Dark inside, the door doesn’t close and it smells. Next is the restaurant and shop for souvenirs. There is only one restaurant on site. If you are dining in the restaurant, use their toilet. Steps go down the lake and there are numerous benches around to sit. You can swim or row the boat yourself. There is a walking path all around the lake which is a gravel path. Hiking trails start from here for other lakes. Walking around the lake is possible and may take around two hours. Unfortunately Tara bridge was closed so couldn’t visit.

    crno jezero

Crno Jezero (Black Lake) is a large glacial lake within Durmitor National Park and close to the small town of Zabljak in Montenegro. The lake is surrounded by dense pine forest and large mountains, including Medjed (2,237m / 7,503 ft), part of the Dinaric Alps range. Crno Jezero is actually made up of two lakes; Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Little Lake). During the summer months, the small straight that joins the lake dries up creating two distinct bodies of water.

Response from the operator: Dear client, Exactly. This is truly a location that should not be missed when visiting Montenegro! Kind regards from Monte Mare Travel Team

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
