Definitely not worth the price

Very disappointing experience — not worth the price I absolutely love Phuket, but unfortunately, our NOAH yacht trip was by far the worst experience of our trip. We paid over 5900THB, and personally, I felt the experience was nowhere near worth the price. I had seen a lot of positive recommendations for NOAH on social media, so my expectations were actually quite high. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. 1. Way too much time spent on the boat 🚢 We boarded at around 10:30 AM and spent approximately 2.5 hours on the boat before reaching Phi Phi Island. After arriving, we transferred to a long-tail boat for a short tour. Since Maya Bay was closed in August, there wasn’t much to do during this part of the trip. Our long-tail boat also did not have a photographer, and nobody told us when we could go to the back of the boat for photos. Later, when I saw photos sent by customer service from other boats, I realized that some of the other boats did have photographers. This was quite disappointing. 2. The snorkeling schedule was extremely rushed 🤿 After returning to the yacht for lunch, we were told that we would have around 45 minutes for snorkeling. However, there were only two toilets/changing spaces, so female passengers had to queue to change into swimwear. By the time we finally changed and were ready to get into the water, we were told that there were only about 5 minutes left. We decided not to go in and hoped that we would have another opportunity at Maiton Island. 3. I became extremely seasick 🤢 The trip from Phi Phi Island to Maiton Island took another approximately 2.5 hours, and the boat was extremely rocky. I had already taken motion sickness medication that morning, but I still became extremely sick. I vomited around four or five times during the journey. There was another passenger who also appeared to be seasick, and I saw two staff members staying beside her and helping her with some Thai cooling balm. In my case, apart from providing garbage bags and tissues, there was very little proactive assistance. I had to ask for a garbage bag, tissues and bottled water each time I vomited. The difference in the level of attention was honestly quite disappointing. When I eventually asked the staff what I should do because I was feeling extremely sick, I was simply told that we were almost at Maiton Island and that I should try to hold on. By the time we arrived, I was so exhausted and sick that I had no energy left to get into the water or enjoy the island. 4. Smoking at the back of the boat 🚬 Our seats were assigned in advance, and we were placed at the back of the yacht. Unfortunately, people were smoking there throughout the trip, and I even saw crew members smoking. I personally cannot tolerate cigarette smoke, especially when I am already feeling seasick. I asked the staff whether we could move to another seat, but I was told that there were no seats available. As a result, I spent most of the day at the back of the boat surrounded by cigarette smoke, despite having paid over 5900THB for the experience. 5. The DJ was extremely loud 🔊 If you enjoy loud music, this may not bother you. However, for us, the music was simply too loud and played almost continuously. Considering how much time we already spent on the boat, it eventually became quite uncomfortable, and my ears were actually starting to hurt. Overall The biggest problem for me was the ratio between time spent travelling and actual time spent enjoying the activities. A huge part of the day was spent sitting on the boat, while the actual time for snorkeling and enjoying the islands felt very short. My experience was basically: 🚢 2.5 hours on the boat 🏝️ Short stop at Phi Phi 🍽️ Lunch 🤿 Very limited snorkeling time 45min 🚢 Another 2.5~3 hours on the boat 🤢 Severe seasickness 🏝️ Arrived at Maiton with no energy left to enjoy it I understand that sea conditions, weather and individual experiences can vary. This is simply my personal experience on the day. However, considering the price, I personally expected a much better-organized itinerary and a higher level of service. If you are mainly looking for a day of enjoying the islands and snorkeling, I would personally recommend considering other, more reasonably priced boat tours. For me, unfortunately, this was a very expensive day of feeling sick and uncomfortable rather than an enjoyable day at sea. Definitely not worth the price for my experience.

Worst experience ever

I had high expectations for Noah Yacht, but it ended up being one of the biggest disappointments of my Phuket trip. The “premium” experience starts with an old, overcrowded shuttle bus that takes 1.5 hours each way, stopping at countless hotels like a cheap 900 THB tour. You spend nearly 3 hours of your day just getting there and back in narrow, uncomfortable seats. For the price, a private transfer should be the minimum. It gets worse once you arrive. There’s another long wait to register, followed by more waiting before boarding. The included breakfast was extremely poor—even the coffee was just self-serve instant coffee with milk on the side, which is unacceptable for a tour marketed as luxury. The onboard atmosphere was nothing like the exclusive, premium experience advertised. It felt overcrowded and chaotic rather than upscale. My wife and I didn’t even feel comfortable wearing our swimwear or relaxing, which completely took away from the experience. I honestly regret booking Noah. I would have had a much better day on a regular speedboat island tour, arriving faster and spending more time enjoying Phuket instead of sitting on buses and waiting in lines. Don’t waste your time or money on Noah Yacht. The premium price doesn’t deliver a premium experience—it’s one of the worst value-for-money tours I’ve experienced in Phuket.

Very tired

It's extremely tiring; I don't recommend it. It's fast, causes nausea, and is extremely annoying.

NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island cost?

+

Prices start at $5700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 36 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does NOAH Yacht to Phi Phi - Maiton Island start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
