A fantastic tour of the farm from tin panning to making rubber. Lots of hands on activities and a very knowledgeable tour guide

Wonderful experience - highly recommended!

A great experience - we had a young guide who spoke super English and explained everything great. You also get to work by scooping tin, scrubbing water buffalo and planting rice. Very authentic and well done!

Recommend a lot to visit this place. It is cheap and interesting. Work all days, a lit of activities. Best for all :)

A brilliant farm! Staff is kind, a lot of locations with it's own history for every each one, a nice guide. The tour is aimed for English-speaking, but the level of English is very easy, so if you don't have a high lvl, you'll understand everything. This place is not very popular, so on my time there were only 8 people. There are a lot of activities. You literally can smell, step on, touch, eat everything. About price and organisation: The farm works all days The price per person is 900 Bat + taxi you order ( we went from Mai Khao beach, the price was 100 Bat) There are 4 appointments: 9am; 11am; 1.30pm; 3 pm. It's better if you buy tickets at Thai booking salons. It will be much cheaper. Personal advice: you'd better take a screenshot of the place, 'cause some Thai don't even know about this. The excursion We went there 30 minutes before. Staff quickly took our voucher and gave us tickets. They even gave us some fish food, so we took a billion of photos. The excursion started on time. We learned about Thailand farm routine and Thai villagers every day life. As I said before, guide explained everything in English, but slowly and easy. He was kinda artistic, so we had fun. In the end of excursion some gifts and free drinks(we used a cupon) were given to us. There was a cafe, but i wasn't there, so i can't say anything about it. In total: Thai old farm is one most interesting places on Phuket. Tere are a lot of different activities, so audult and kids will like it. It is perfect for families, friends, couples, singles etc. Staff speaks and understands English perfectly. The price is too low for this kind of place, so please, left some tips. I am really impressed. Best of a kind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Phuket's culture up close

If you want to learn about Thai culture and especially about Phuket culture and agriculture there, Old Phuket Farm is definitely worth a visit. On a tour that lasts about 2 hours, you can learn a lot about it (tin extraction, rice and pineapple cultivation and much more). Our tour guide Bernie gave us a great day here and we were able to experience and try some things ourselves.

Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour take?

+

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Old Phuket Farm: Hands-on Thai Cultural Experiences Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
