Not worth it!
Not worth the money! We saw a few lights in Pigeon Forge but the driver never even went to Gatlinburg. The only thing that saved the tour was the drive through Soaky Mountain. The lights were synced to music and they did a beautiful job…but you could drive yourself and just pay the admission of $39.95 per car and save yourself a lot of money.

Not worth the money. Drive it yourself.
The driver was friendly, personable and fun. That was the only part that matched the description of the event. They moved the time back an hour due to a tour and then we waited another half hour for a group that didn’t show. We saw the Festival of Lights at Soaky park but no other lights as described. The description said the tour included lights in pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. It said the tour was 2.5 hours long approximately. We returned to the drop off within an 1.5 of leaving. The price charged was double a car entrance to the park. Drive it yourself and save the money. .

Disappointed
Schedule changes Anticipated more history etc. Driver, Jack was pleasant and friendly The light show was awsome Primary a transit bus Could have driven there and saved 200.00 The van was 30 minutes late. Had to go to another location to pick up another bus. Back to the Apple mill and pick up more people The tour was supposed to start at 6:00 Waited from five until 7:00 for the ride We didn’t leave the Mill until almost 8:00 Despite the inconveniences we enjoyed ourselves

At a lower price this would be a good tour.
Our driver was knowledgeable and friendly which saved the rating from being lower. The description mentions driving through lights in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, none of which happened. We were told to be at the pick up spot by 6:15pm and the bus would leave no later than 7pm. Not everyone had arrived so we waited around and dint leave till almost 7:30. We drove to the Soaky Mountain Light Show where we saw the price list for a single car at $34.95. We went through the light show, then walked through the water park that had a souvenir shop, hot cocoa stand and fast food shop. We hopped back on bus and went back to where we were picked up. Our tour cost paid for the whole bus to enter. Tour is over priced for what is offered.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sevierville.
How much does New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular cost?
+
Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sevierville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sevierville is not rushed.
Is New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sevierville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sevierville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sevierville and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does New Improved Smoky Mountain Holiday Light Spectacular start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sevierville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sevierville?
+
Sevierville, TN packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Sevierville by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Sevierville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 7-Line Zipline Experience in Sevierville, Small-Group 7-Line Zipline Activity at Sevierville Nature Park, Famous Moonshine & Wine Tour From Pigeon Forge. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sevierville?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Sevierville, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sevierville?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
