This tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We were picked up right on time from our hotel, which made everything so convenient and stress-free. Our guide, Yuly, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area—she really brought the history and culture of the constellation zone to life. We learned so much about Medellín’s past and the transformation of the community, all while enjoying a safe and well-organized experience. Yuly's explanations were clear, engaging, and full of heart. It was amazing to see how art, resilience, and local pride have shaped the identity of this neighborhood. Unique and profound genuine Medellin experience
Far from the beaten tourist path, it was a privilege to witness the neighborhood transformation from poverty and crime ridden slums to a place that's full of life, color and pride through the power of art. The murals tell the story of the neighborhood and its people in vivid details. We have met some of them and shared traditional drinks and snacks. The murals combined with colorfully painted facades create amazing "constelaciones" that define the bright and happy look of the neighborhood. Our local guide (a young man from the neighborhood who painted some of the constelaciones) explained the meaning behind the murals. We were the only visitors on a busy la feria de las flores weekend. We felt it should be a must for anyone looking for a genuine Medellin experience. Come to see the stunning street art and meet welcoming people of the neighborhood far from the crowds. Huge thanks to Oscar for taking us there and providing superb English narrative and translation.
