    2. Rick's Cafe

The world famous Rick's Café, founded in 1974, is undoubtedly the epic Negril hangout spot for locals and visitors alike! Strategically located along the cliffs of Jamaica’s most western tip, Rick’s Café easily takes the prize for a must-do attraction that you don’t want to miss! Nowhere else in the world do you get the opportunity to see the daring 100ft. free style cliff dives. Visitors also participate in the cliff jumps from a low of 10ft. to high of 40ft. – take your pick, of course at your own risk and optional. You get the adrenaline rush just watching the excitement put on by local divers who grew up practicing their skills right there on the cliffs – this is where you watch the most beautiful golden sunset, enjoy drinks and food at the bar or on the terrace (own expense), chosen from a menu with an array of unique choices, while dancing to the soothing sounds of live reggae music put on by some of our popular local entertainers. On a very busy day, the kitchen staff may have a lot to do so if you wish to have dinner at Rick’s, in the interest of time, you might want to put in your order as soon as you arrive at the location. You will be at Rick’s for approximately 3 hours. When the sun sets it will be time to board your bus or minivan that will take you back to your hotel.

    Kimmeridge Bay visit

Expensive open air beach cafe, should have guessed as no prices displayed, 3 ice creams and 1 coffee £19. Should have checked before ordering! Lovely bay with wonderful views, great for kids to fossil hunt and explore the rock pools.

Amazing and COPLEY was the BEST

Copley our driver was amazing!!! He went out of his way to make our experience so much better. The staff at Margaritaville was so accommodating and friendly!! The food was delish. It took a little time so make sure you order right away. The beach was amazing and the water perfect. Rick’s Cafe was so much fun the cliffs were insane. It was crowded but still a blast. The pool was amazing and the staff was so friendly.

Don't book excursion with your driver

Our driver told us if we wanted to book an excursion we had to pay him cash because the company only uses licensed guides. We were uncomfortable and felt pressed to book. We ended up going on a glass bottom boat. It was a complete scam. We had to meet the boat out in the water up to our hips and the guides were two teenagers. While talking to them we found out the driver charged us twice what they were paid to take us. There is no way this was legit!!

    Don’t waste your money

We did not go on this excursion. We waited over an hour and our ride never showed up. We tried to contact the driver thru the site but no response. Waiting on a refund.

Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay cost?

    +

Prices start at $87 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 85 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay?

    +

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Negril Day Trip to Seven Mile Beach & Rick's Cafe w/Admission from Montego Bay start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
