The BEST experience you could have of Sydney!

If you do ANYTHING while you’re in Sydney, take Matt’s tour!!! We had the absolute BEST day learning about the Australian bush, aboriginal knowledge, neat plants, petting the FLUFFIEST animals, and taking in gorgeous sites. Matt is one of a kind and we will be talking about this tour as a highlight of our trip, no doubt🤩

Response from the operator: Aubree! Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I had such a great time showing you around Sydney too. You were fantastic company, and I’m so glad you got to see the seal at sunset as well! Although, I have to admit, photographing your portraits was quite a challenge. I’m pretty sure there was a secret agreement between you two that whenever one of you had your eyes open, the other would close theirs! We eventually got there, though! Good luck with the Sydney Marathon tomorrow. I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines, and I hope you both have an amazing run. It was a real pleasure spending the day with you. Hopefully I’ll see you back in Sydney one day. All the very best, and safe travels! Cheers maties, Matt Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

Grandsons are hard to please, but Matt did it!

Matt was a lovely, creative, responsive guide who provided an informative and funny day for grandmother and grandson alike. We learned a lot about the country, the animals, the humor, and enjoyed our ATV off-roading adventure. Matt can craft a fabulous day covering your groups interests.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with both of you. I'm so glad I could put together an experience that kept everyone entertained - including myself! There’s nothing better than ending the day, munching on a packet of Aussie Fruit Tingles with new fiends! :) Australia certainly has no shortage of quirky wildlife, and I’m so happy you enjoyed the quad bike adventure as well. One of the best parts of running this tours is being able to tailor the day to each group's interests, so it's great to hear that made a difference. Thanks again for choosing Sydney Guided Tours. I hope the memories, and photos, bring back plenty of smiles for years to come. Wishing you both safe travels, and I'd love to welcome you back for another Australian adventure one day! Best tour of our trip

This is the kind of tour people remember long after the experience.... Within the first few minutes, we knew it was going to be a great day. Within the first hour, we felt like we were on a road trip with our friends. From booking to pick up, from suggestions to surprises, this was a day like no other. Matt was absolutely stellar from beginning to end - and it is the one tour we kept talking about afterwards. From the ATV ride in the rain (sooo much fun!), to kangaroos and wallabies at the Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary to the many surprises Matt built into our day (don't want to give too much away), the day was phenomenal. We saw so much, and learned so much from Matt, that it was truly a highlight of our journey to Australia. We laughed and talked and walked and learned. Lunch at Avoca Beach was fabulous. We highly recommend Matt - and if we make it back to Australia, we'll definitely be booking another day with him.

Response from the operator: Wow… thank you so much for such an incredibly thoughtful review. Reading this honestly put a huge smile on my face. I loved spending the day with you both, and I’m so happy the tour felt more like a fun road trip with friends than a “tour”. It means a lot to hear that this became one of the highlights of your Australian journey. Sharing our wildlife, landscapes, stories, and hidden corners with wonderful people like yourselves is exactly why I do what I do. Thank you again for your kindness, your sense of adventure, and for being such fantastic company throughout the day. If you ever make it back to Australia, I’d absolutely love to take you on another adventure. Safe travels and hopefully our paths cross again one day! Cheers! Best tour ever

There are not enough words to describe how great was this tour. Being a private tour, you can choose your sights and a time you spend at each of those. We had a Sydney city tour just the day before so this was the perfect opportunity to see more of the beautiful nature. Matt was great and he and he shared so many interesting insights in such an engaging way that we never feel bored. The stop at the wildlife park with all of the Australian wildlife was a blast, as we had a close encounter with koalas & kangaroos. It was a colder windy day but Matt had everything planned and brought wind jacket for us to use (he also had some chocolates & champagne stocked in the vehicle for us to enjoy). He also took a bunch of high-quality photos for us, with his camera (not a phone), and email those to us at the end of the day. You will not regret booking this tour as it is great way to see sights that you probably never see with a large group tour, and we cannot recommend Matt highly enough (he also have a great taste in music)

Response from the operator: Boris, thank you, this review really means a lot. It was such a pleasure spending the day with you and the family. Getting out into the bush and showing you a different side of Sydney is always where the magic happens. I’m so glad you enjoyed the wildlife encounters, even when the weather decides to add a bit of drama. :) And I’m glad the music passed the test too, it's always a risky moment handing over control of the soundtracks. Thanks again for choosing to spend your day exploring with me, and I hope the photos bring back some great memories for years to come. Safe travels and hopefully we can do round two next time you’re back in Australia. Cheers mate, Matt Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

    Unforgettable Sydney experience

Matt was the best decision we made for our short but sweet Sydney experience! Our time was super limited but our day spent with Matt checked a lot of boxes plus more! He took us to places that were off the beaten path and gave us a locals view of Sydney. He was great with the kids and adults as well. He is also a great photographer who shared all of his pictures with us at the end of the day. Couldn’t recommend him more!! Thanks Matt!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m really glad I could make the most of your short time in Sydney and show you a few special spots beyond the usual tourist trail. It was a pleasure spending the day with your family, the kids were fantastic company, and I’m happy the photos will help keep the memories alive. Hope to see you all back in Australia one day for round two. 😊 Cheers :) Matt Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $431 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 368 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour?

    +

Around 129 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nature & Wildlife: Australia's Hidden Side, Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
