    Fantastic Riding experience !!

This family managed stable provided a safe and very enjoyable morning riding and exploring a local former sugar plantation and the beach below. We had a mixed group of adults and kids, some with riding experience and others woth absolutely none. Everyone felt safe and well taken care of, and we had fun! Can’t recommend this team highly enough ! Great experience

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing to ride with us! Thrilled to hear that everyone enjoyed. Thank you for your review.

    Good but also VERY bad

The overall experience was great. The lead (older) man was a pleasant, kind, helpful and informative man. The young kid assisting the older man was rude to the horses, poking at them from time to time, and had a flippant attitude. When you get on/off a horse, you normally mount from the left side of the horse. Once for me and once for my husband, they had us dismount, and I'm pretty sure once, even mount, on the right side of the horse. This is very awkward. I managed to do OK. We had on HOKA shoes and they are large at the front of the shoe, so they were difficult to get in and out of the stirrup. NOTE TO SELF: Never wear HOKAs to horseback ride. Because of this, my husband's foot got stuck in the stirrup, plus, the kid had him on the wrong side of the horse, even though my husband told him "this is the wrong side" he didn't do anything about it. My husband ended up falling because he couldn't get his foot out of the stirrup and additionally was on the wrong side of the horse, and ended up falling onto his back. Praise God, there was no injury or even no pain the next morning, but it could have been disastrous. SO, if someone wants you to get on or off on the wrong side of the horse, be sure to speak up! And don't wear HOKAs. The older man was very helpful to get my foot out of the stirrup, but the kid was clueless. Now, the older man gave us a great tour of the ex-sugar mill and he was informative and gave a great experience. I was tempted to give this a 4 star rating, but wanted to make sure they knew they need to improve in these area. I would do this ride again, the horses were great, just don't get on or off the horse on a side you are not comfortable with. And don't wear wide shoes that won't easily come out of the stirrups when needed.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to point out areas that needs improvement. We will definitely address them, and work with the staff to improve the overall customer experience.

    Beautiful Experience

Very serene experience, the guides were so patient and allowed us to enjoy ourselves. Soaked in some history knowledge along the way, fresh coconut water, and saw very interesting little forest crawlers. I felt very calm and assure of myself during our time- and that was from the help of the guides 10/10

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and for choosing to ride with us. Happy you enjoyed this excursion.

    Great trip!

A great trip. Picked up and dropped off as arranged. Well looked after by East Coast Riding Stables. A ride through the old sugar plantation, jungle and the beach. A refreshing drink of coconut milk for both of us on the beach.

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us! And for your review. Glad you enjoyed.

    Tour guides did a nice...

Tour guides did a nice job with the history and with the horses since we are not avid riders. The stables are about an hour from Rodney Bay.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review.

Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marigot Bay.

How much does Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia cost?

    +

Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marigot Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marigot Bay is not rushed.

Is Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 73 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marigot Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia?

    +

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marigot Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marigot Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nature & Historical Horseback Riding Tours St. Lucia start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marigot Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marigot Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Marigot Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include St Lucia Diamond Mineral and Mud Baths Plus Waterfall Adventure, Rainforest Hike and Waterfall Safari, St. Lucia Food and Rum Tour - Taste authentic St. Lucian Food and Culture. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marigot Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marigot Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
