Do not book with Nexustours/Piton - they are a rip off!

My wife and I booked this and we were told that we will be picked up by 12:50 p.m. We were hungry and my wife is pre-diabetic so we went to the buffet to get some quick bite. The buffet was only one floor below the pickup location/lobby. To make a long story, short! We got to the lobby at 12:54 p.m. and the bus had already left. When requested, the bus driver refused to come back; and the hotel Nexustours would not provide any other way of transportation. They only offered a reschedule but we were leaving the resort; hence, that was not possible. We demanded refund since they did not provide any services; but they refused and blamed it on Piton not allowing the refund. Highly recommend to watch out for rip offs like this! We, later, heard that the sunset cruise is nothing nice and we did not miss anything - so others had the bad experience!

Response from the operator: Hello Mikey, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret to hear about your experience. It was ok.

The boat ride and sunset were great/beautiful. The staff was full of energy. That’s the only reason for a 3 star rating. People should know that you make a couple stops to pick up more people, which is not something I expected. The snorkeling part was not the best. You motor to a resort and utilize their small cordoned off area to snorkel. The worst part is you get off the boat, walk onto the resorts beach, and walk back into the water to the cordoned off area. The worst part is when you walk back into the water you are led into the water like cattle. A small area to enter (like a cattle shoot) and a lot of people entering. Make sure you have water shoes because a lot of people did not and the walk into and out of the water is very rocky and uncomfortable. I have done a couple similar experiences and you were dropped off into the water, nothing like this. I do want to reiterate sunset itself was a 10!!

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify that, unless private transportation is specifically booked, transfers are shared and may include multiple stops along the route based on resort locations. We appreciate your comments and will certainly share them with the relevant teams as we continue to review and improve our guest experience. Thank you again, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best, IR Experience

Great cruise, great booze and a fab crew(s)

A fantastic afternoon and sunset cruise to the Pitons. Great stops on the way, fab crew and dangerous rum punch! A swim by the mighty Pitons and the back to Castries by way of a spectacular sunset. Highly recommended.

    Great experience! Highly recommend!

We had a great time on this catamaran tour down the coast. The boat was great, the crew was so fun, the snorkeling was perfect, and it was just a picturesque day overall. The crew worked really hard to make sure everyone had fun (and everyone did!) Would absolutely recommend this as a must-experience excursion for anyone visiting the island!

Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Choc.

How much does Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries cost?

    +

Prices start at $111 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Choc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Choc is not rushed.

Is Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Choc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Choc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Choc and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Piton Sunset Snorkel Cruise St. Lucia From Castries start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Choc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Choc?

    +

On Outty we rank every Choc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soufriere Volcano Experience, Soufriere Tour - Gems of the West, St Lucia Catamaran Day Sailing and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Choc?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Choc?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
