Backstage is a family-owned winery on a serene Napa Valley estate, where winemaker Angelo Pera and his team create award-winning, hand-crafted wines in small batches. The winery is Angelo’s spin on a tradition that began more than a century ago when his family moved from Italy to San Francisco and started selling their hand-crafted beverages. At Backstage, Angelo has lovingly recreated the sense of tranquility found in the winemaking estates of Tuscany — an homage to his roots. He started Backstage in 2010 and runs the winery with his family. Backstage wines are crafted with patience and made by hand every step of the way. *Note: All wineries listed in the itinerary are tentative and subject to change depending on availability and group size.*

Bamboozled in Napa
It was my Wife’s Birthday and I wanted to make it special. So we booked a hotel in Napa and drove from Reno which around 3.5 hrs we left on Friday and the Tour was on Saturday Morning at 10 am. After Driving we were early to Napa around 1:30 excited to have fun and get away from our busy lives. We went to the Napa premium outlets and while shopping the tour people called and canceled saying they didn’t book enough people and read the fine print. I was like we drove all the way from Reno and it’s my wife’s birthday. They were like no worries here is the number to this other company that does a similar tour. Ended up having to pay double for the Same Tour - what was I going to do?

Driver is excellent, wineries were good the wine was good. Abe added some useful information on the tour and had a great sense of humor. There were four of us that took the tour and had a great time, make sure you get Abe as your driver/guide. We will go again for sure.

Diverse winery experiences…all great!
What a fun day visiting wineries! Our driver, Steve, picked us up at our hotel along with one other couple. Just four of us…We visited three different wineries. Steve would go check us in first. We were always greeted by our guide. Three completely different experiences, all amazing. This was on a Monday and nothing was crowded. Very relaxed settings and we tasted many wines. The tour was A+ and I would book it again next time we’re in Napa!
Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you for your positive review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a great experience. We’re especially glad that you enjoyed your interaction with Steven and appreciated the quality of his customer service. We strive to provide excellent service, and we're pleased to know that we exceeded your expectations. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Napa & Sonoma.
How much does Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Napa & Sonoma usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Napa & Sonoma is not rushed.
Is Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 482 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Napa & Sonoma, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch?
+
Around 169 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Napa & Sonoma can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Napa & Sonoma and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Napa Valley Daily Join In Group Wineries Tour Including Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Napa & Sonoma within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Napa and Sonoma are all about how a tour is put together: which wineries it can actually book, how many stops, whether lunch and tasting fees are included, and whether it lifts off in a balloon at sunrise. We weight inclusions and transparency heavily in the ranking here. On Outty we rank every Napa & Sonoma experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour, #1 Sonoma Walking Food, Wine Tasting & History Tour (Public Tour), Sonoma Valley Pedal Assist Bike Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Napa & Sonoma?
+
March to May and September to November, with harvest crush in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
