You only visit small family wineries
The tour length was good and the tour guide Grady was great. He was a wealth of knowledge about San Francisco and the wineries we passed. The stop for lunch in Sonoma Square was lovely and picturesque. My mid reading was due to the wineries we visited. There last said 3 of these Madonna Estates, Muscardini Cellars, Sutter Home, and Ru Vango Winery. We visited 2 of those (Madonna Estates and Ru Vango) and Cline. While all the had great service and lovely staff and grounds, the wines at Ru Vango and Cline were not worth the trip. We purchased a bottle at Madonna and would have orchard more had we known the other 3 were going to be horrible. Ru Vango's focus is on art not wine and it shows in the taste. We also did not get the 45-minute Sausalito that was listed in the tour information.
Response from the operator: We are glad to hear that Grady was a great tour guide, and sorry that you did not enjoy the last 2 of our 3 winery visits. Thank you for your feedback. We make the 45-minute Sausalito stop on our Muir Woods Tour only. If you have any information on the advertising on that, please feel free to let us know where at sfreservations@bigbustours.com and we will ask for it to be removed. Thank you for joining us, and safe travels.

Was a nice day until the music started.
Our trip and tour of the winery's was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with both offering plenty of selections. The only drawback and it affected the drivers tip drastically we had a large Hispanic family and the driver played music catering to them directly and not caring about the res of the passengers on board. When I told him afterwards he just laughed it off.
Response from the operator: Hello Scott! We appreciate your feedback. It's great to know that you enjoyed your tour, and we sincerely apologize for the driver's conduct, which we do not endorse. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Best, Ana from Big Bus Tours.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.
How much does Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.
Is Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 74 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco?
+
Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Napa & Sonoma Guided Wine Tour with Tastings from San Francisco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Francisco?
+
San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Francisco?
+
September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Francisco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
