Successful Nairobi Safari Day Adventure for 14!
It was my father’s surprise 80th birthday and I was making arrangements from the U.S. for a group of 14 for a Safari Day in Nairobi. James was recommended by my Aunt and when she says, “I’ve got a guy”, you know you’re set. And that was the case. James and I set up my vision for the day via WhatsApp and he streamlined purchasing all of the tickets needed. He helped me arrange the birthday lunch, including a cake. And he and his guide were on time for our excursion. Itinerary for 14: 5:30/6am pickup (be a little flexible but aim to get to the park early enough to see the animals possibly feeding or before the heat of the day) Have coffee and snacks in the vehicle transfer. 6:30am/7: Arrive at Nairobi National Park and there will be others there as well, including the Masai who greet the visitors. Once you’re through the tickets - which James handled, we were off to our Safari game drive. James and our guide were knowledgeable and they are great with the kids. We followed our game drive with the Elephant Orphanage. James made sure that we were there in time (11am start) to be in place to see those elephants run out - especially the babies!!! Birthday Lunch at the Masai Restaurant and bc our cake was late - he arranged with the owner for the dancers to make it extra special at now additional cost to us. We closed the day with feeding the Giraffes at the Giraffe Center. I wanted it all and thanks to James - we did it! 14 people, 2 Open Air Landcruisers, some wild vehicle and animal adventures (the great Baboon heists of Nairobi National Park), one surprised and happy Grandpa/Dad later and a delighted big group with memories for a lifetime!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review! 🥳✨ It was an absolute honor to help you plan your father’s 80th birthday celebration!! 🎂 Coordinating an itinerary for a group of 14 from across the globe is no small task, but working with you via WhatsApp to bring your vision to life was a complete pleasure. (And we are so grateful to your Aunt for the recommendation! 🙌) We are thrilled that every part of the day hit the mark, from the early morning game drive in Nairobi National Park 🦁 to the unforgettable moment those baby elephants came running out at the Elephant Sanctuary 🐘 The baboons definitely added their own wild twist to the adventure 🐒, but seeing your father’s surprise and the joy on everyone’s faces,,especially the kids, made every detail worth it..... Arranging the special celebration with the Maasai dancers 🪘💃 was the least we could do to make sure his 80th birthday felt extra magical to the whole family! Thank you for trusting us with such a monumental family occasion. We wish your father a very happy 80th year, and we hope to welcome you and your family back for another safari in the future! 🦒🇰🇪 Warmest regards, James & the Jimfire Safaris Team

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $260 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Nairobi Park Half-Day Open Game Viewer Landcruiser Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
