    Meh

The app seems well made and worked fine. But we got pretty bored and quit halfway through.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear the app worked well for you, but we’re sorry the experience itself didn’t hold your interest. The Murder Mystery Detective Experience is designed as a self‑paced, story‑driven activity, to give people a unique way to get out and about exploring their city. We understand that style may not be the right fit for everyone. We appreciate you giving it a try and sharing your thoughts.

    Not the best

The information in the clues were sorely lacking, the app kept freezing due to internet in the area, Several of the places had changed and no longer held what the clue answer was. And honestly there is no need whatsoever ever for the foul language all the way through it. It adds nothing to the story.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're sorry to hear the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We aim to provide clear information about mature themes and language so players know what to expect beforehand. We also appreciate you bringing up the location and clue concerns—things can change over time, and your feedback helps us improve. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

    Just don’t do it. So...

Just don’t do it. So confusing and not well planned out. The help center doesn’t get back to you when you need it. So frustrating for my friends and I.

Response from the operator: "We’re sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. Our goal is to create a fun and enjoyable activity, and it’s disappointing to know we missed the mark for you and your friends. We sincerely apologize if the instructions felt unclear or if our Help Center didn’t respond in a timely manner. We’re actively working on improving the overall instructions to help this from happening in the future.

    Fun, definitely worth doing!

It was fun to walk around and try to solve a mystery. Some of the questions about the surroundings were incorrect though. There was no dragon 🐉 only a donkey 🫏. You’ll understand if you play in Santa Fe. Still a great time and very affordable!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the mystery and had a great time. We'll send your comments to our production crew to check out that "dragon" :)

    Poor Question

The question (on the walking version) where you ask what animal the security camera across from the theater would have seen...... what security camera would be able to have both the sidewalk and the dragons on the theater 30 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND??????????????

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the clues didn't meet your expectations. We constantly strive to innovate and will take your comments to heart to make our clues more varied and creative.

Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Fe.

How much does Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Fe usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Fe is not rushed.

Is Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Fe, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Fe can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Fe and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Murder Mystery Detective Experience in Santa Fe NM start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Fe within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santa Fe?

    +

Santa Fe runs on culture: Canyon Road gallery walks, Georgia O'Keeffe country and Ghost Ranch tours, pueblo visits, green chile food tours and Bandelier hikes. Cultural access and guide expertise matter more than price here. On Outty we rank every Santa Fe experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Fe Revisited, Santa Fe Ultimate History Walking Tour, The ORIGINAL Wander New Mexico "Sip & Savor" Plaza Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santa Fe?

    +

April to June and September to October, with Indian Market in August. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santa Fe?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
