Wonderful day in Konigssee and Salzburg!
We had Jan as our driver for a private trip from Munich to Konigssee and Salzburg. It was the best day of our trip to Germany! The company was very good at communicating before the trip to finalize pick up time and location and the places to stop during the day. We changed our itinerary to spend more time in Konigssee and Salzburg (did not go to Eagle’s Nest). Jan was prompt for pick up at our hotel and very welcoming. We discussed our plan for the day and Jan was very accommodating and even added some last minute suggestions that ended up being the highlight of our trip! If you want to take the boat ride at Konigssee, it’s a good idea to purchase online tickets before arrival. We thought it wouldn’t be crowded on a random Tuesday, but it was the busiest Jan had seen it — and tickets through the afternoon were sold out. Salzburg was beautiful and we saw a lot in a few hours, thanks to Jan offering some ideas. The weather was perfect which made our day even better! The vehicle was comfortable and Jan is a great driver — we felt safe at all times. Jan is a wonderful person — very kind, considerate, and adventurous! We will find him when we come back to visit! (Jan — thank you for going above and beyond today! I’m glad we got to explore the Alps with you! 😉)

Great Day
Jan was right on time to pick us up. He got us to Eagle’s Nest early so that we had time to go through the museum before heading up. He then dropped us off at the perfect spot in Salzburg and was waiting for us at a picturesque spot to take our picture before heading back to Munich. I highly recommend Jan for a private transfer!!

A great way to see two beautiful sites
I really wanted to go to the Eagle's Nest and to Salzburg, but we only had one day. This was the way to go. The driver picked us up at our hotel in Munich. He was so nice and was completely accommodating to our schedule. The company was also great in letting us know how and where to prepurchase bus tickets to the Eagle's Nest. This was important in making our schedule work. The driver then took us to Salzburg where we set our own schedule. There was no pressure to meet at any specific time; however, I did want to be respectful of his time. He gave us his number and told us to call him when we had finished sightseeing.
Response from the operator: Hello, Benjamin! Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so glad to hear that your trip to the Eagle’s Nest and Salzburg went smoothly, and that our driver was accommodating to your schedule. It’s wonderful that our team could assist with the prepurchase of bus tickets, making everything easier for your day. We love that you enjoyed the flexibility to explore Salzburg at your own pace. We hope to have the opportunity to drive you on another adventure soon!

How long does Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.
Is Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Munich to Salzburg, Eagle’s Nest and Königssee Private Day Trip start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Munich?
+
On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Munich Ghosts and Spirits Evening Walking Tour, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Munich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Munich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
