    Exceptional tour for the Family

Excellent tour weaving history and gastronomy in to a single experience. Our family, ranging in age from 14 to 75, all enjoyed the experience. Patrick is an exceptional guide and host.

    Great company, great guide

The tour was only my wife and I as no one else booked. We were really happy that this tour company didn’t cancel due to the lack of bookings, which we’ve encountered in other cities. Kevin was an awesome guide, and answered every last one of my tourist questions. The food was amazing and we visited a lot of great spots. I would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: We're very happy we got to host the both of you on our food tour in Munich. Thank you for joining and for the lovely review! All the best for the rest of your travels.

We had a lot of fun in...

We had a lot of fun in this food tour. Kevin was very nice and informative about Munich history and the food we had. He also gave us great recommendations for places to visit in Munich like the duetsches Museum. The food was great and I particularly liked the Munich white sausage and falafel. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys history and bavarian food.

Response from the operator: Great to read you enjoyed both the traditional and modern influence of Bavarian food! Thank you for joining us and for the 5-star review.

    Best Food Tour

Kevin definitely has a good understanding of the Munich casual food scene and a gift for communicating with people using his good Irish humor and a sincere, heart felt love for Munich. We've taken several food tours of Munich and his is by far the best. We will definitely be recommending Kevin to our friends and family when they tour Munich in the future.

Response from the operator: Wonderful to read that you had such a lovely time with Kevin! Thank you very much for joining us and we look forward to hosting your friends and family in the future.

Fantastic Food Tour Experience in Munich with an Outstanding Guide

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Food Tasting Tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Liam. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. Liam did an excellent job blending the modern culture of Munich with the city’s rich history, giving us fascinating insights everywhere we went. Every stop on the tour was thoughtfully chosen. Lovely locations, exciting atmosphere, authentic local spots, and truly great food. There was more than enough to eat and drink, and we especially loved the cute traditional beer gardens and the lively energy of the market where the tour ended. This tour felt authentic, fun, and personal from start to finish. If you’re visiting Munich and want a great way to experience the city through its food, culture, and history, we highly recommend this tour. And especially Liam as your guide!

Response from the operator: Such a wonderful review! Thank you for taking the time to write this and we wish you a fantastic rest of your time in Germany!

Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.

Is Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 254 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour?

    +

Around 89 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Munich Viktualienmarkt and Beyond Small-Group Food Tasting Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
