Great tour!
Wonderful tour with Joanne (Jo). She was very engaging and knowledgeable. Five hour tour was a perfect amount of time for us to see the sights we wanted.
Response from the operator: Hi Anita, thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a great time with Jo. She really enjoys bringing Munich’s history to life, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to her. Five hours is a great way to see plenty of the city without feeling rushed, so we’re very pleased the tour worked so well for you. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope you took away some fantastic memories of Munich! Best, Taff :-)

Just OK
We liked seeing the places where events took place. It was a hot day and our poor guide was sweating as we all were. She did her best under the circumstances.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're delighted you enjoyed seeing the places where history actually happened. As for the weather... unfortunately, even our guides haven't yet figured out how to control that. It was certainly one of those days when everyone was melting together! We're glad your guide kept going despite the heat and did everything she could to make sure you still had an enjoyable experience. Thanks again, and if you decide to join us another time, we'll see if we can arrange for slightly less enthusiastic sunshine.

Highly recommend
Taff was a wonderful guide! He has so much knowledge and information to impart. It was a very informative tour. He kept all of our attention. Even stopped at a beergarten for a break during the tour. Would highly recommend Taff's tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a real pleasure showing you around Munich and sharing its history with you. I'm delighted you found the tour informative and engaging—and that you liked our little beergarden break. Sometimes a cold drink is just as important to understanding Bavarian culture as the history itself. Thank you for the recommendation. It means a great deal, and I hope our paths cross again on another adventure in the future. Safe travels! Best, Taff

Interesting
Everything was so close in proximity. Learned more about the origins of the “broken cross,” the meaning of the flowers & leaves & the rewards related to those, and beginning of Hitlers reign and the multiple attempts to kill him.

Outstanding Experience!!!
Taff brought history to life on this outstanding walk through time. Extremely well organized with time to go into great detail on subjects of interest to me as a WWII history buff. Taff is very personable as well as knowledgeable thus making the tour both informative and filled with humorous moments. We especially enjoyed the Augustiner Bier at an off the beaten path walk up window mid tour on a warm day. Taff also provided us with recommendations for things to do in Munich your typical Rick Steves fan wouldn't find in his books. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a deep dive into the history of Hitler's rise to power and the importance of Munich and Bavaria in this black mark on mankind.
Response from the operator: Dear Bill, thank you for your thoughtful review. It was a pleasure to show fellow history buffs- and fans of Bavarian beer - around. Next time you are here, please don't be shy: we scratched the surface. Best, Taff Simon

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.
How much does Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour cost?
+
Prices start at $438 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.
Is Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 164 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour?
+
Around 57 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Munich in the 3rd Reich and WW2 private walking tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Munich?
+
On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Munich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Munich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
