About this experience
Escape the usual tourist routes and discover the natural beauty of Munduk and the Twin Lakes by bicycle. The cycling route combines quiet mountain roads with natural forest trails around the Tamblingan area, allowing you to experience the cool highland atmosphere, lush tropical vegetation and peaceful surroundings away from busy tourist areas. The adventure continues all the way toward Pura Dalem Tamblingan, a sacred temple surrounded by the ancient forest of Lake Tamblingan. Rather than simply visiting the lake by car, you arrive by bicycle and experience the landscape along the way. After cycling, leave the bicycles behind and continue the journey across Lake Tamblingan in a traditional Balinese canoe. Local canoeists guide you across the calm lake while you enjoy views of the surrounding rainforest and sacred temples. After the canoe experience, a short drive takes you to a local Balinese house, where you can relax and enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch.

Trekking day jungle Munduk Agus
We had the chance to spend the day with Agus (our guide of the day) and Yudi (the driver). Agus is passionate about nature and has an incredible knowledge of the nature of his country. He was able to guide us through the lush jungle of Munduk in order to reach several waterfalls all the most beautiful than the last. He taught us a lot about plants that are eaten, not eaten as well as trees. We finished the trek in the middle of rice fields and local dwellings, if you are looking for authenticity it is the right person! Suksma Agus again!

Waterfalls and coffee plantation
We were the first to visit the Sekumpul waterfall and Fiji waterfall. On the advice of the Eddy we left on time and it was not busy yet. We walked with a local guide along the rice fields and after many stairs (about 460) we arrived at the Sekumpul waterfall. This one was super nice and better than expected. Then we went to Fiji Falls. These were also certainly beautiful. Then up the stairs again. As a conclusion, a jump from a rock into a smaller waterfall to cool off. We did not do the water slide but was possible. After the waterfalls we went for lunch in a local restaurant where we got a typical Balinese lunch. Very good. Finally, we were given a private tour of the ecological coffee farm. Very interesting. Finally, we visit the Banyumala Falls. Again, down stairs. But fortunately not so much. Also this waterfall was very beautiful. You could also swim here in the waterfall. This waterfall was a lot busier. If you walk downriver you will come to a few more waterfalls that are also worthwhile. This tour with our driver who speaks good English is highly recommended.

Great view and good experience in the jungle!
Great ride with Edy and the guide. We were able to take nice pictures of the lakes and the waterfall. We also loved the jungle trek.

An unforgettable experience
It was an extraordinary day we spent with Adi our driver and Putu our guide and super photographer. A jungle trek with discovery of local flora and fauna. Crossing a lake in a traditional boat... simply magical and timeless and finally discovering a sublime waterfall. The whole thing ends with an excellent well deserved Indonesian meal super welcome. We asked Adi if he could take us to the rice fields of Jatiluwih... of course always ok. In summary I highly recommend this activity and for Adi and Putu a big thank you!!

Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing cost?
+
Prices start at $1225000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Munduk Fun Cycling & Twin Lake Adventure with Tamblingan Canoeing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
