Really friendly guide who I felt totally safe with
I took a couple of tours with Raj when I was in Mumbai - a street food tour and market/transport tour. He’s a really great guide who will show you parts of the city that you wouldn’t discover by yourself. I always felt really safe with him even when we were jumping on and off crowded trains and walking through busy markets. I did one tour solo and one in a small group. I was travelling alone as a solo female and felt totally safe and relaxed the whole time. The street food tour meant I was able to try lots of foods I wouldn’t have ordered by myself and also got to visit Chowpatty beach. Mumbai is an amazing place but you will really learn and see more with a guide and Raj is the one to choose! He can give you a lot of interesting facts about the areas and show you some really cool places. If I ever come back to Mumbai I will definitely book him for another tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you felt safe, comfortable, and relaxed throughout both tours. It’s great to know that you enjoyed discovering Mumbai’s local food, markets, transport, and hidden gems with Raj. Your kind words mean a lot to our team, and we’d be thrilled to welcome you back for another Mumbai adventure!

Raj Helped Us Find What We're Craving
Raj was very flexible when it came to the types of food we wanted to try. We sampled many different dishes, and he showed us the recommended way to eat and enjoy each one. What really stood out was that I was craving meat, but the beach area we visited was a vegetarian-only food zone. Raj went out of his way to help us find several chicken dishes, which required traveling to different parts of town. We also got to try a variety of delicious desserts along the way.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted you enjoyed the variety of local flavors and that Raj could tailor the tour to your tastes. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Mumbai!

A wonderful evening with Raj!
I had such a fun evening exploring Mumbai’s vibrant food scene with Raj. He takes you to the best places, and it is an extremely great bang for your buck. I haven’t had that much food in months, and you won’t want to stop eating. Raj is a wonderful guy, and makes you feel so welcomed. Do this tour!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mumbai Street Food Walk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Street Food Walk cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Street Food Walk take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Street Food Walk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Street Food Walk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Street Food Walk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Street Food Walk?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Street Food Walk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
