Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus
We begin our food tasting here and stroll the lanes with the oldest food shop in old Mumbai, eating a variety of local meals, Tangy Chats, and mouthwatering desserts. Witness the making of vibrantly coloured native cuisines such as vada pav, bhel, Dabeli, and the spicy samosas, a signature pocket dish of India. In this delightful walk, go down the lane of pani-puri and chat vendors and savour the lip-smacking Indian street food.
Pass by without stopping
Sip a cup of masala chai tea in a clay pot while admiring Mumbai's exquisite beauty and doing what people prefer to do - eating. Taste a range of mouth fresheners before finishing the walk with a tempting dessert.

Food good; avoid the guide!
We booked this tour from the Booking.com website. Subsequently, discovered that this then went through the Viator website and the tour was through Yo Tours. On the plus side I had expected that only small tasting dishes would be included and that we would have to pay to have a more substantial portion. In fact over the course of the tour we had enough for a full dinner. On the downside our guide, Nisar, wasted time and we could have experienced a greater variety as well as having more information about the food. Nisar took us to the old railway station and spent a lot of time talking about the building. Unfortunately, his information was completely wrong. He said that Queen Victoria had lived there (she never visited India!) and only after independence was the building converted to a station (it was always a station!). We had booked a walking tour of Mumbai for the following morning and our hearts sank when we discovered that it was also with Nisar.

Safe street food
We walked around and had great food from some nice clean food stalls with Muskaan. She explained the dishes and actually amended the menu to accommodate some dishes that we were interested to try. Totally recommend it.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, thanks for writing such a wonderful review, it helps us at Yo Tours keeping the motivation of continue doing the good work that we do and it is all because of wonderful guests like you. We would be happy to take you on a tour again in Mumbai or any other city in India where we operate. Happy traveling.

Wasn't as advertised, very disappointing!
We are extremely disappointed with the experience we had with Yo Tours yesterday. We booked the tour on Thrillophilia (attached images of the description on their website), according to their policy it is up to the tour operator to keep the information on that page updated and that they are solely responsible for guiding the tour. So the tour operator is entirely to blame for the terrible tour we were led on. We were meant to be led on an evening tour but my concerns were first raised when the guide messaged me the day before to say we would be meeting at 1pm and in a location that was different to what was on the Thrillophilia page. I told him about this but he said that if we started later some of the locations would be closed so I didn't question it further. Little did I know that we were also being taken to different locations altogether. The tour itself felt pretty flat. The locations and the food selection were pretty poorly selected. These weren't the ones listed in the tour we had paid for and were expecting. Of the 5 things we tried 2 were desserts (ice cream and a creme custard dessert) which to be honest isn't that exciting and definitely not worth the cost of the tour. Not to mention the first thing we had was a bowl of Poha (flattened rice) which would leave you deceptively full for the rest of the tour. One of the locations was shut so our tour was also shorter than it should have been. I was surprised when we got to the 'final location' and our guide said that it was done, this was when I pulled up the website and showed him what we thought we were going to be experiencing during the tour. He explained that he gets assigned the tours by the operator and guides us on the route that they give him. We also ended up paying more than what was advertised on Thrillophilia (marked as 700, we paid 900) but didn't hesitate when booking as we thought we were getting what we'd read on the page and we were excited to take part in that tour. In the end, we absolutely did not get what we paid for, we have contacted the tour operator asking for a full refund so hopefully we will hear back because it was a total scam. Would definitely not recommend and would not book again.

Nice short but sweet tour
Vrushali was an excellent guide as she took excellent photos , she spent much effort to find a substitute stop at the end since the typical last stop was closed, and she was familiar with the various snack items.

Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $1029 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mumbai Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Group Guided Walking Tour in Fort and Colaba, Dharavi Slum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
