About this experience
There’s not enough space in this paragraph to describe how amazing this tour is. Everything about this tour is a hit. We take you to places older than most of the sites that you will see in most other countries in Europe - 6,000-year-old caves, 4th Century Monastery, 11th Century Church. You feel Georgian history in the beautiful countryside. The views from the all visited places are breathtaking. Maybe some places like the museum of Stalin aren’t your cup of tea, but this part is also optional and our guides try to tell you a lot of interesting stories about him. We show his birthplace and will be able to go on Stalin's train carriage. The best part of the tour is our wonderful, knowledgeable, and super-cool guides. Our guides are highly informative, but also hilarious and fun The lunch on this tour is definitely a highlight! A lovely local family welcome us into their home and serve us the most delicious food and wine, and they perform some traditional Georgian dances for us.

Great Georgian Excursion!
I had a wonderful private tour with Luca, who guided me through the Jvari Monastery, Gori, to visit the Stalin Museum (fascinating but unsettling in what is NOT stated), and Uplistikhe. Luca is friendly and has a wealth of information. I highly recommend the tour and this company. Everything went smoothly from start to finish!

Interesting and informative day out.
A great experience, but be warned - the listing is not accurate as far as lunch is concerned. The Viator listing literally says: "Arrive lunch in Local family in Gori. Unique possibility to feel as native. Visit a local family and Enjoy homemade, traditional, delicious dishes. 1 hour 30 minutes - Free Admission" I don't know about you, but to me that sound like lunch with a local family is included. Our guide said something about dropping us at a local restaurant. When I brought up this supposed family lunch, he did some investigating and found that the information is old and this family doesn't do this anymore. He also pointed out that on the list of what's included, "lunch" has "x" next to it, meaning it's not included, which is a detail I missed. Viator needs to update its listing, because this private family lunch is one of the reasons I booked this particular tour. Other than that, it was a great tour, and the error was not our guide's fault.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.
How much does Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour) take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.
Is Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour)?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mtskheta,Jvari,Gori,Uplistikhe(private tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tbilisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
