Excellent experience
This was easily one of the highlights of our Tenerife holiday. The scenery throughout the whole trip was breathtaking, and seeing Mount Teide and Masca in person was something completely different from looking at photos. The whole day was really well organised and we got to see so much of Tenerife. The drive through the mountains was an experience in itself 😂, but the views were absolutely worth it! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and made the journey interesting without it ever feeling like we were being overloaded with information. We travelled as a family with children of different ages and everyone enjoyed the day. It was a long trip, but there was plenty to see along the way and lots of opportunities for beautiful photos. A fantastic way to experience a completely different side of Tenerife. Definitely a 5-star experience and something we will remember for a very long time! 🌋❤️

Good guide and variety of...
Good guide and variety of places to visit. However, I wish we had been given more free time in every town, instead of just following the guide and then moving on

Pick another tour
Not an enjoyable tour. Our tour guide was rude and did not do a good job. The guide would wander off and not wait for everyone and did not make things clear. The route was a waste of time and finally getting to Masca we only had 20 minutes and couldn’t do anything but take some photos and leave. Book another one that focuses on just Masca.
Response from the operator: We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the tour and that the experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback regarding the guide, the route, and the limited time in Masca. We’ll take your comments on board and review them with the team to improve the experience for future guests. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

One holiday day lost
We ordered English tour, result was that tour guide talking 80% Spanish, 15% German and rest was A1 level English (e.g. “now we go north”, “we can see Mt. Teide” ….). We were not stopping for anything interesting or view point, mostly at cafe or shop. Lost day from our holiday
Response from the operator: Many thanks for taking time out to leave a review. I am sorry to see you missed out that we stop for Guarachico and Icod to see the Dragon Tree in the lovely village along with Masca and Teide national park. The two coffee shops we stop at are for bathroom breaks required by law. Maybe it was just not your thing.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife cost?
+
Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 1,032 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife?
+
Around 361 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
