Day in Mt. Fuji
Attary was well knowledgeable of the area, the history, and local delicacies. He was patient with us during the stops and helped map out a very eventful day. He's also a great photographer. Thanks for helping our day in Mt Fuji be very memorable

Day Tour from Tokyo to Hakone
Milkyway's private tour had real highlights — the boat ride and the shrines and temples along the way were beautiful, the car was comfortable, and being able to customise our pickup and drop-off was convenient. Communication before booking was easy too. The guiding is where it fell down. Our guide rushed us through several stops, which was disappointing on a private tour we'd expected to set the pace for, and we questioned a lot of the information he gave us — after the tour we verified several of his claims as flatly untrue. He also came across as holding a fairly negative view of Japan, which coloured his commentary. He brought up more than once how overworked he was, with days running from 4am to 8pm, and mentioned customers leaving him bad reviews. Whether or not it was intended that way, it left us feeling we were being asked to feel sorry for him rather than give honest feedback. If those hours are accurate, Milkyway should look at them, because his driving got noticeably worse as the day went on and felt genuinely unsafe by the time we reached the winding mountain roads. A guide that tired shouldn't be behind the wheel on those roads. Worth noting that lunch and the boat tour aren't included in the price. Good itinerary, but the guiding and the scheduling behind it need attention.

The tour option you booked included a private vehicle and driver, but not a tour guide. Your driver happens to have previous guiding experience and, as an additional gesture of hospitality, accompanied you at several locations and shared information with you. This was not a guiding service included in the package you purchased. Nevertheless, if some of the information he provided was inaccurate, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will address it with him. We are also aware that your review was originally posted as 5 stars and was later edited to 3 stars. While we do encourage our guests to leave reviews after their tours, we would like to make it clear that we never expect or require those reviews to be 5 stars. We welcome honest feedback, including criticism and valid concerns, because it helps us identify where improvements are needed. Regarding the driver’s comments about his working hours, we would also like to provide some clarification. Our drivers are paid for additional working hours, and their working schedules are managed within the limits permitted by the applicable transport regulations. We certainly do not expect our staff to work excessive hours without compensation. At the same time, we take your comments about his driving toward the end of the day seriously. Safety is extremely important to us, and we appreciate you flagging this concern. We will review it internally rather than dismissing your experience. Regarding feeling rushed at some locations, the Hakone itinerary covers several attractions within the booked tour duration. The driver may have been trying to complete as much of the planned itinerary as possible within those hours and help you avoid additional overtime charges. However, this is a private tour, and you are always free to set your own pace. Guests can choose to spend longer at places they particularly enjoy and skip other locations if there is not enough time. We will also work on communicating this flexibility more clearly to future guests. Regarding lunch and the boat ride, these are intentionally not included in the tour price. Our tour description clearly identifies what is included and excluded so that guests can review this information before booking. These exclusions are therefore part of the design and pricing of the tour rather than services that were omitted on the day. We were genuinely surprised to read the concerns in the updated review because our impression during the tour was that you were enjoying your day. We have attached some of the photos from your tour, which reflect the positive atmosphere we observed at the time. Of course, we understand that appearing happy and enjoying certain parts of a tour does not mean that there cannot also be valid concerns about other aspects of the experience. Most importantly, we would always prefer our guests to contact us whenever something does not meet their expectations. Mt Fuji
Was an awesome experience catered to our personal wishes. Hadid our driver was very friendly and accommodated all our needs and what we wanted to do. Was cloudy in the morning, but the beauty of Mt Fuji appeared in the early afternoon!
