    Worst tour guide ever…..

Worst experience ever…. They sent a driver that wasn’t familiar with the area and didn’t speak English at all… poor guy tried to comunícate but the language barrier was so big that we ended up ignoring all communication. He tried but he was set to failure by the company he work for, sad….

Response from the operator: We thank you for choosing our experience and taking your time to leave us the honest feedback. We are so sorry to hear that you could not enjoy the tour with our guide. We are constantly striving to further improve our service and apologize for not being able to provide you with the experience you expected this time. Please let us know if there is anything further we can do for you. Japan Guide Agency

    Memorable trip beautiful blossoms

Our driver was wonderful and patient. I liked the freedom we had to explore each stop versus having a guide who would walk us a specific route.

Response from the operator: We appreciate your kind feedback and our drivers do too! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour with your driver. We look forward to your next visit to Japan. Japan Guide Agency

Seeing Majestic Mt Fuji by car is the best!

Having a private driver was the best way for us to see the Mt Fuji/Five Lakes area. Matsumoto was prompt, professional, and helpful. Although not technically a guide, he gave us tips to ensure that we saw specific highlights. He even purchased food for us to give the koi & ducks at the lake! We highly recommend Matsumoto & this service!

    Mt Fuji Private Tour

Booked a Private Chauffeur Tour through Japan Guide Agency,JGA Inc back when it was required to travel to japan with a guidede tour. They helped me with the required documents for obtaining a visa to Japan. We booked this tour because we had an early arrival into Haneda and also had 1 day to tour Mt Fuji. Mr Terada form Terada Taxi, picked us up at 6:10am sharp eventough we had initally planned to be met at around 730am. Our flight came in earlier than planned and Mr Terada was waiting for us at arrivals with a sign with our names on it. Easy to meet up and no troubles. Mr. Terada's taxi was new and very comfortable. I dont know the model of it but it was a luxurious van that had a moonroof, reclining seats and video screens at the back of the seats. Mr Terada was very nice and communicative. He spoke English with us and for some situations, he had a very handy pocket translator to help when it was required. Since the beginning, the tour is tailormade towards our interests . At anytime it is possible to extend time at a location or change the itineray. Below was our itineary for the trip: Haneda Airport Pickup Mt Fuji 5th station Mt Fuji Heritage Museum Mt Kachi Ropeway(Panoramic view) Hoto Fudo Noodles Oshino Hakkai Back to Hotel Loved the noodles at Hoto which was in front of the Kawaguchiko Station(train) and also the tranquil walk and shopping around Oshino. Mr Terada helped us buy a Pasmo/Suica card at the train station which was very handy during our trip in Tokyo(recommend) It takes around 3 hours by car roundtrip from Tokyodepedneing on traffic so do take that into consideration. Our fall trip was really nice in terms of weather temp around 19C in Oshino and 10C at Mt Fuji 5th Station. we unfortunately couldnt see the clear view of the mountain because of the foggy conditions which are normal duirng this time of the year. The tour guides suggestion for clear views is during the winter time but should take into account the low tempertures. It was great to have a private driver since we were tired from our long aiplane trip into Haneda and could rest on the way back to the hotel. I do recommend booking a trip with a driver/guide because it is very useful to get around and time saving in detereminded situations. Thanks for Mr Terada Taxi and Mika san from Japan Guide Agency for the great trip.

Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $25680 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mt. Fuji from Tokyo: Private Car & English Driver, No Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

    +

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

    +

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
