Good trip.
Guides were very good and helpful. The trip was a lot of fun with bikes that handled the cobble stones and gravel roads quite well. The battery power seemed to not be enough for the trip. Some just made it to the lunch point. The bikes needed maintenance as you could not change gears and the chain needed oil badly.

PV Electric Bike Tour
The tour definitely provides you some great insights to key areas of the city and mountains. Our guide Juan (#1) was phenomenal. He made the tour very personable. Only warning for anyone is that most of the roads are cobblestone in the city, so be aware it will be bumpy at times - seats are well cushioned though.

The perfect balance of city and off the beaten path
This tour is the perfect mix of seeing different and historic parts of the city and then going up the mountain on dirt roads to beautiful views and a different way of life. I am 61 and have biked/ mountain biked all of my life. You still need to know how to ride as the cobble roads and dirt road are bumpy. The guides Juan and Brian were amazing. They looked after us and were lovely. It has been the best part of our trip to PV and we are excited to spend more time at the places they showed us. Well worth the money.

Beautiful place, bad for ebikes!
DO NOT RECOMMEND- Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful place but not good for seeing via ebike. The cobblestones badly bruised my tail bone (tough to get in and out of a lounge chair now!) and the mountain road had many potholes, one of which sent me into the dirt and now I'm covered in bruises. 4 out of 7 in the group took a cab down the mountain instead of completing the tour. We did an ATV tour of virtually the same town/mountain route and had a blast- do that one instead!!

Group of 6 Ride
Juan, our guide was a very nice guy, very accommodating to our group of 8's needs. I would say the bikes were a bit old, but he and our other guide, Brian, had extra batteries as most of our bikes needed to have the battery replaced during the excursion. In addition to that, several of the seats would not stay in place. The areas we went were fun yet a bit challenging (cobble stone streets and then up into the mountains). The restaurant we stopped at for ~90 min. up in the mountains was neat as well. This tour was a bit more taxing on our bodies than we had expected, or that we read it would be. Once you hit the mountain road it turns into a dirt road with rocks so you have to be attentive and we found as we made our way back down to town, our arms were quite tired from having a "death grip" on the handle bars! There were 3 "accidents" by our group, either tipping over or going into the ditch...again, just be aware the ride is for I'd say "active adults". The tour was supposed to be 4 hours but we didn't get back to the shop in town until close to 5 hours and we were offered a tequila tasting at the end which we didn't know about. After 5 hours we had had enough and wanted to go about our other plans in town. Overall the group did enjoy this tour, would we do it again, probably not, but it was a different excursion from what we've done in PVR before.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes cost?
+
Prices start at $81 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mountain Tour Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
