About this experience
We take you to the Vrmac peninsula for great mountain biking and downhill adventure. Tour starts from Trojica pass with 4km uphill on regular road to the Fort Vrmac, which is on 480 meters above sea level. At the Vrmac fort we would have short break to overview the fort and enjoy the view. From this place we would go to Vrmac view point to take some nice photos over Kotor bay. Later on we continue to ride off road trough hiking path all way to the Saint Ilija peak, which is on 760 meters above sea level. Terrain is gravel and it is about 6km long. This peak is unique in Kotor bay, because this is the only place from where you can see whole Kotor bay. After sightseeing and break we start downhill. We can go the same path back to starting position on Trojica pass, or we can go downhill all way down to the Tivat city and back. Be aware of difficulty, moderate physical condition needed and previous mountain biking experience on gravel. Tour could be 20km or 30km depend you prefer.

Amazing Adventure
Milija was an amazing guide, he shared incredible facts about Montenegro all while taking us on an amazing bike tour that included walking through old 1890 forts, walking through tunnels in the mountain and stopping at a beach side cafe for a beer after climbing the mountain by bike!!! 10 out of 10!!
Response from the operator: It was a lot of fun. Thank you again for being my guests 😊 Thanks for this review 👍

A panoramic ride thought the mountines and great conversation.
We had a great ride through the mountains with my friend. The is a decent amount of downhill well as uphill ride. We made many great pictures of the mountains and the bay area. We also visited a couple of old forts along the ride. Our guide told us many different interesting facts about local areas, Montenegro, and even some history. I would say this requires some average physical level as you would need to pedal for some time to get to the top of a mounting. Make sure that you have enough water with you.
Response from the operator: Yes you are totally right. Thanks for good review.

Great adventure and breathtaking views
Had a fabulous time and got a great workout too. The trails are quite empty and picturesque, with lots of interesting things along the way, and, above all, breathtaking views of the bays. Be a little careful when you go downhill - hold bike firmly with both hands at all times.
Response from the operator: Thanks for being with us. and thanks for great comment. Yes, downhill on gravel is challenging.

How much does Mountain Biking on Vrmac peninsula - Panoramic view on Kotor bay cost?

Is Mountain Biking on Vrmac peninsula - Panoramic view on Kotor bay worth it?
+

How far in advance should I book Mountain Biking on Vrmac peninsula - Panoramic view on Kotor bay?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kotor?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kotor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
