    perfect Kilimanjaro adventure

My sister and me, we've just been at the top of Kilimanjaro a few days ago! It was just awesome! We booked our 7 day Lemosho Route with Bushkomba and they work together with KiliTwende. We were picked up by our crew at our hotel. Everything was well organised! Jerry and Sadi were the best guides! They guided us safely to the top and also on all other passages. They were very considerate and very responsive to our needs. When we felt sick or really tired, they even helped us carrying our backpacks! For every small problem, they had an idea how to solve it! Also they tought us a lot about the environment and we learned some Swahili from them! Special thanks also to Goodluck for carrying our emergency oxygen to the top! We appreciated the very delicious food, the good service, morning-wake-up tea, Welcome-Drink after a hiking day, a private toilet, hot water bottles in the evening and carrying our luggages, tents and all the rest from camp to camp! There was really nothing to complain about! We highly recommend doing your Kilimanjaro adventure with KiliTwende!

Response from the operator: Asante sana for your lovely review! We're so glad you had a great experience on the Lemosho Route with Jerry, Sadi, and Goodluck. It means a lot to know you felt well taken care of, from the support on the trail to the small comforts like morning tea, warm water bottles, and delicious meals. We’re especially happy you enjoyed learning some Swahili and appreciated the care and knowledge our team shared along the way. Thanks again for recommending us we’d love to welcome you back to Tanzania anytime! Warm wishes, The Kilitwende Adventures Team

    Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Hike with Kilitwende

We had an incredible experience completing the Mount Kilimanjaro Trek on the 8-Day Lemosho Route with Kilitwende Adventures. I cannot recommend this company more highly! From the beginning, the booking process was seamless, with the team being highly responsive and attentive to our needs. We rented a few essential items, such as wet-weather gear, hiking poles, and pants, and all the equipment provided was of excellent quality. The guides were absolutely outstanding — positive, fun, passionate, and very funny. The conversations we shared on the mountain will stay with me forever, and their knowledge of the mountain was remarkable! They thoughtfully adjusted the hike to match our experience level, ensuring that all four of us reached the summit and had an enjoyable experience! The porters were also incredible. Their customer service was beyond exceptional; they provided hot water bottles at night when the temperature dropped, dried our wet gear (including soaking shoes) after rainy afternoons, and even brought hot tea into our tents. When I fell ill during the hike, they prepared a ginger herbal tea for me each morning and night, which worked wonders. They sang and danced with us after we summited, and we were always greeted at each campsite with our tents and dining area already set up. Their warmth, care, and attentiveness truly made this journey extraordinary. The chef was phenomenal, and despite hearing stories about losing one’s appetite at high altitudes, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so well. The meals were nourishing and delicious, providing much-needed energy for the trek. The accommodation arranged for us before and after the trek was superb, with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, a pool, and a convenient location in Moshi. As someone who had never hiked before, I was amazed by how comfortably I reached the summit, which I attribute entirely to the experience and care of the Kilitwende team. They were truly incredible, and booking this adventure with them was one of the best decisions we made.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're honored to have been part of your Kilimanjaro journey on the 8-Day Lemosho Route. It means the world to hear that everything from the booking to the summit met your expectations. We're especially glad our guides, porters, and chef helped make the trek so memorable and comfortable for you. Congratulations on reaching the summit an amazing accomplishment, especially as a first-time hiker! We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back to Tanzania one day. Warm regards, Kilitwende Adventures Team

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 8 days Lemosho Route: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.

How much does Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 8 days Lemosho Route cost?

    +

Prices start at $3,088 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

Is Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 8 days Lemosho Route worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Mount Kilimanjaro Trek 8 days Lemosho Route?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
