The sunrise trek not only explores the beauty of Batur volcano but you can get close to the second sacred mountain and experiences the hit of an active volcano in the Island. Beside of that, personally you can enjoy spectacular views of sunrise or sun up, it instant change the colors of the sky from dark to red, then yellow and finally blue. The tour will began between 3:45 am to 4:00 am from the foot of Mount Batur with a short by our experiences team. Afterward, we will begin the tour up to the summit of Mount Batur in the pick dark with a flash light and hiking poles on the hand. Millions of stars and cold air as a blanket during on the way up, noises off insect will completed the darkness.

This is a great experience. I would highly recommend doing it with a group, it’s an experience you will never forget.

Cannot miss
Climbing Mt Batur is a must when in Bali! I would suggest going slightly earlier and starting around 3-30am so that there is ample time to reach the peak before sunrise. The night sky was also decorated with stars which was something not to be missed especially if you live in bustling and brightly lit cities

Great driver, Great trek and views. Disappointing guide
The driver was fantastic and Batur Sunrise and the trek up was fantastic. Unfortunately the whole trip was overshadowed by the Guide. The entire trip up I had to listen to how much other guests had tipped him, from his new shoes to his a $50 euro note. The Guide was negative the whole way up and constantly talked about how hard his life is. It was very awkward and he made me feel terrible. He shouldn’t be a guide.

Great Last Day in Bali activity
I did the sunrise hike on my last full day in Bali. It was amazing! Pick up was around 2AM in Canggu. We drove to the beginning of the hike and met our guide. He was wonderful and so incredibly helpful along the way. The sight up top mt Batur was amazing and we even had breakfast. I would highly recommend this company for sunrise trekking.

Mt batur sunrise trek
Mt batur is a very unique place. My guid Eko was very helpful and friendly. Made me some awesome breakfast on the top while explaining the Bali culture and the history of Mt Batur. The trek was moderate although some places it was steep uphill climb. My driver Putu was very friendly and made sure I had a comfortable journey from Kuta and back. I would highly recommend this tour company as Mr Joro is very much responsive to messages and very reliable.
