Somewhat difficult hike, but worth it!!
The hike was great! We had to travel 2 hours from our hotel to get to base camp, and the driver accommodated that. It's a early start to the day, but it was well worth it to see the sunrise at the top!

🌄 Challenging but Absolutely Worth It! 🌄
🌄 Challenging but Absolutely Worth It! 🌄 Our Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking and Hot Spring Excursion was an unforgettable adventure! The hike was definitely more challenging than we expected, but reaching the summit just in time for sunrise made every step worth it. Watching the first light of day break over the horizon, with the clouds below and the stunning landscape stretching out before us, was truly magical. A huge shoutout to our guide, Nova, who was incredible throughout the journey! His encouragement, patience, and knowledge of the area made the experience even more special. He kept us motivated during the steep climbs and ensured we had the best spot to take in the sunrise. We felt safe and taken care of every step of the way and he was fun to chat with throughout the hike! After the trek, the hot springs were the perfect way to relax and soothe our tired muscles—such a refreshing and well-earned treat! If you're up for a challenge and want to experience one of the most breathtaking sunrises in Bali, this trek is a must-do. Just be prepared for a workout! Thanks again, Nova, for making this such a rewarding and memorable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Only once in a lifetime experience
Okay, this has to be one of the most exciting, eye opening, majestic, and jaw dropping experiences I have had with a Sunrise excursion. I have done Maui and Costa Rico just to name a couple everyone has an idea of where they are. Not only do you hike up to the vantage point, you get a real local breakfast while you wait. Then afterwards you now get to hike around the crater and visit the steam vents. It is over 5 miles of hiking, at an easy pace with plenty of places to get refreshments from the local people so don't think you need to bring survival gear or a hydration pack. Our guide was outstanding and was a wealth of knowledge about the mountain. It's also the GRANDEST place to propose, since that is what I did and I really caught everyone off guard and scored points with my lovely lady. You are going to have the time of your life on this excursion, no doubts about it. Yes, Yes, I know 2 am is early to start an excursion but you just flew into paradise, so don't you owe it to yourself to see how Heaven opens up to Bali. Enjoy 🤠

Is Mount Batur Sunrise Hike And Natural Hot Spring worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Mount Batur Sunrise Hike And Natural Hot Spring suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mount Batur Sunrise Hike And Natural Hot Spring?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
