An authentic and traditional experience
If you are looking for a fancy, modern spa, this might not be the place. It is one of the oldest hammams in Marrakech, so while the building itself looks a bit aged, it is absolutely clean and all the necessary services are there. The experience feels deeply traditional, and it’s performed by qualified personnel who clearly know exactly what they are doing. A special mention goes to the 30-minute massage: it was really great and, alone, completely worth the money. Highly recommended for an authentic experience!

hammam with spectacular Moroccan women
Fortunately I wasn't put off by the dramatic reviews I'd read! Definitely an untouristy hammam: and this is its charm! the Moroccan ladies are very kind, they do a vigorous scrub and a wash with beautiful soap. I ended up getting a good massage, too. You are lying on the floor, hygiene is definitely not the best, but I would do it again tomorrow! not suitable for those expecting sunbeds, flowers and super nice environment.

Hammam Don't Miss !
Love all Hammam, Turkish bath experiences. This place was authentic. Been there since the 1500's, probably hasn't changed much either. My wife enjoyed her treatment, I enjoyed mine. Good wash with the exfoliating soap, good scrub with the mitt and a decent 30 minute massage. $35.00 worth every penny.

Traditional hammam
Significant differences from the classic Turkish bath. It is an old but cozy property with separate entrance for males and females. The floor is warm and I know it is washed with water at different temperatures. Everything you need is provided, even the disposable costume. You have to lie in the floor, on a mat. There you are treated with clay after rinsing with hot water. Then there is the scrub with glove and soap . finally the toning massage. For 10 € more the massage is 1/2 hour. Cost 17€ for 45 minutes

No frills, 100% sisterhood, felt like a new person
If you expect a luxury spa with rose petals, airy music and soft whispers, this is not the place for you. But if you're fine with very basic decor, lying on the floor and getting thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed by tough mamas, together with other tough mamas, with plastic buckets and cheap towels, then you will love it here. I definitely did, and it was such a liberating experience to walk in just as one is, without feeling I have to be fancy or look perfect. I think the ladies here are lovely, I loved the no bs attitude and zero frills around the place. It's a historic hammam, so nothing modern and extravagant, the women's entrance is around a dodgy alley and the place does look rather run-down. But I came out of there feeling like a new person, I don't think I've ever been this clean in my whole life, with a total glow-up, skin looking and feeling fabulous. I had a basic treatment and a 30-minute massage. I came in around nine in the morning and left after more than two and a half hours, so it was a proper cleaning. Just as others have written, it was a feeling of sisterhood, of being welcome regardless of background, body type, skin color and whatnot. It felt like a place where women could come and be safe, have fun together, talk, help eachother with the washing and scrubbing and really have some time for themselves. Thanks to Rachida and Fatima for taking good care of me!

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine cost?
+
Prices start at €18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Moroccan hammam with reception in private Riad Mouassine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, 3 Days Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech with Luxury Camp, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
