Best cooking class ever

My husband and I highly recommend this cooking class! We ended up being the only two people that had registered, yet they did not try to reschedule or cancel. Chef Aicha is amazing! She is a gifted chef and teacher. My husband never cooks, but he enjoyed himself immensely, learning new skills. The food was the absolute BEST we had during our 5 day stay in Marrakesh. The staff at MONRIAD made us feel welcome and at home.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted that you and your husband enjoyed the cooking class with Chef Aicha and that the meal was a highlight of your stay in Marrakech. Your kind words about our team and hospitality mean a lot to us. We hope to welcome you back to MONRIAD soon! Warm regards, The MONRIAD Team

In Morocco, Tajine Is What's Cooking

FIRST AND FOREMOST: Moroccan tajine cooking is one of the most unique, savory, and delicious culinary techniques. THAT SAID: Learning it from an expert is a rarefied and wonderful experience. We shopped for ingredients, visited a spice vendor (yeah, I got plenty to bring home), then prepped and cooked dinner. BETTER STILL: We made chicken tajine, couscous with caramelized onions and raisins, and light panna cotta dessert. Chef showed a double-secrete technique for steaming the couscous. YUM! BTW: There was a little too much down time before we started the class and while the tajine cooked. That's why four stars not five. IN BRIEF: Our cooking class at Monriad was extremely fun, instructive, and delicious. They even followed up by sending the recipes by email.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the hands-on journey through Moroccan cuisine—from shopping for spices to mastering tajine and couscous with our chef’s special techniques. It sounds like you really embraced the full culinary adventure

A Wonderful Cooking Class Experience – Highly Recommended!

We had a great experience at this cooking class and I would definitely do it again. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I think there were about 8–9 of us, and there was more than enough food for everyone. The little trip to the market was fun, and it was nice to see how the fresh ingredients were later used in the cooking. The Riad the course is located in, is also stunning and very quiet and peaceful. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people from all over the world.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a great time during the cooking class from the market visit to the final shared meal. It’s always a joy to see how fresh local ingredients come together in a beautiful setting like the Riad. We’re also happy you enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the chance to connect with fellow travelers that’s truly one of the special parts of the experience. We’d love to welcome you again anytime for another round of cooking and sharing!

Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech cost?

+

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 211 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech?

+

Around 74 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Moroccan cooking class with maket in the Medina of Marrakech start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
