Day trip to lake Louise and lake moiraine
We had an incredible guided tour of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. The scenery was absolutely out of this world – the photos don't do these places justice. Transportation was smooth, comfortable, and well organised throughout the day, which made the experience completely stress-free. A special mention goes to our guide, Austin, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the area. He shared fascinating information about the history, wildlife, and local landmarks, and his sense of humour and welcoming attitude made the day even more enjoyable. Honestly, Austin turned what would have been a great sightseeing trip into a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Banff. Seeing these incredible locations is a must, and having a guide like Austin made it far better than trying to visit them on our own.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such a memorable day exploring Lake Louise and Moraine Lake with us. Austin will be thrilled to hear your kind words. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Sunrise to Lake Moraine and Lake Louise
They do exactly what they say!! We did a sunrise tour to Moraine and Louise with knowledgable Melissa at the wheel. It’s cold but they supply blankets and hot drinks. There is even a short wildlife trip on the way home! Thoroughly thoroughly recommend. Not all the other companies in the area match this one - we have tried them……
Response from the operator: We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience! Thanks for joining us :)

Awesome day trip!
Our guide was Andrew and he was knowledgeable and funny. We had a great day out! Pick up was right at our hotel and van was easy to spot. So much fun!
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for joining us :)

Excellent organization
Day tour from Banff to see Lake Louise and Moraine; picked up at the time set by Banff train station and first stop at Lake Louise: 2 hours to rotate it freely. Then stop at Lake Moraine and another 2 hours free to see it. We chose an organized tour because seeing Lake Moraine on your own is really complicated, while with this tour all permits are included. Organized very well.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review!

Lake Louise and Lake Moraine Tour - Five Stars in not Enough for Austin
We did the Lake Louise and Lake Moraine tour and Austin was our guide. Five stars is not enough to give Austin and Explore Banff Tours & Transfers. Austin picked us up at our Airbnb in Canmore - right on time - the van was comfortable, and Austin provided great inside info about the area as we drove to the lakes. So glad we did this tour instead of exploring the area on our own. I really liked the fact they gave us two hours to explore each lake instead of one hour (like some of the other tour companies). The tour is worth every dollar...and don't forget to tip your tour guide.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review Margaret. We're really thrilled you had such a great time and enjoyed your experience with Austin - he's just the best! That's a great tip - don't forget to tip! Haha. All the best :)

Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.
How much does Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option cost?
+
Prices start at $1445 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.
Is Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Moraine Lake Sunrise/Daytime Private Tour with Lake Louise option start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Banff?
+
On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, ShuttleBus 2way Banff to Lake Louise (1Hr) and Moraine Lake (1Hr). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Banff?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Banff?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
