    Great Tour

,Fantastic tour with our guide. Fred from Australia. Saw bears, long horn sheep, mule deers and some fantastic photo venues. Add on some funny jokes, and a great history lesson. A great first exposure to the City.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed exploring Banff with Fred. We’re so glad your tour was a great first introduction to Banff.

Like many tourist activities the guide is the key, and this guide (Alfie) has now left.

Alfie, our guide is no more. Not to say that he has passed away, just left the company. And all travelers know that guides are the key to most tourist activities. What this means for the company or future guests, I would hope that their screening and training is so good that the experience will not be diminished. The vehicle is unique, about 15-16 capacity. We had three countries represented. Open top, so in nice weather you are cool and at various stops you stand up to view what the driver is talking about. Comfortable seating and plenty of glass even if the weather isn't cooperative. A comprehensive tour of the town and the area, with highlights pointed out and anecdotes. Meet the car at a depot in town, which is entirely walkable.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the unique Open Top experience and appreciate your kind words about Alfie.

A Five Star Guide and Experience!

We took our tour with Alfie this afternoon and couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough. I was so pleased with the tour in its entirety - the open top vehicle was beautiful, the locations were stunning, and the tour guide was phenomenal. I was so impressed by how well Alfie narrated our tour from start to finish. He knew his stuff inside and out, and when I learned he is only 18 years old, I was honestly floored. As someone who delivers professional learning for a living, I recognize how much practice goes into to being able to deliver a 90 minute speech in a way that is entertaining and engaging. Alfie was well-spoken and warm toward every single person on the tour. Our kids had lots of questions to ask, and not only did he encourage them, but he had a thoughtful response for everything they wanted to learn about. His depth of knowledge showed that this isn’t just something he does for a job - it’s clearly something he’s passionate about. The Rockies Rangers activities made this an extra engaging experience for our kids, and the badges they received at the end were such a nice touch. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a wonderful afternoon with Alfie and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with him — he’ll be delighted! We’re also so glad the Rockies Rangers activities were a hit with the kids.

Open Bus Tour - Great Way to See the Highlights Around the Banff Area

Great way to see the highlights around the Banff area with a knowledgeable guide. Made several stops along the way where you could stand on the seats to take pictures out the roof and one 15 minute stop where we actually got off the tour bus to walk around and take pictures. Great way to see the highlights in the area and get an idea what you wanted to come back and see another day. Flyn was our guide and did a great job!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re glad you enjoyed seeing the highlights of Banff and found the stops and open-roof views a fun part of the experience.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
