Heavenly Experience

Alberto gives you a very personalized experience for a small group and no waiting in lines. Our Lady of Montserrat will not disappoint.! The hike was absolutely breathtaking. Alberto is an amazing guide and knowledgeable. His Renault van is clean, comfortable and has air conditioning.

Unforgettable Day / Expert Guide

This tour is for you if you want: (a) an early departure with arrival at the Abbey early, before anyone else is there; (b) an “off-the-beaten path” hike at a good pace that is not technical, but is challenging at a few places; (c) a small group; and (d) an absolute expert guide, Albert. We had an incredible time on this tour, led by Albert, and cannot imagine having seen Montserrat any other way.

Enjoyable time in Montserrat

We enjoyed our visit to Montserrat and the wonderful hiking trail . The hike is not super hard- but the trail is rocky and you should have good shoes . Don’t training flip flops!

Montserrat

This Montserrat tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide, Albert, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole day feel seamless. While you can definitely visit Montserrat on your own, the convenience of being picked up and having everything organized was a huge highlight. It made the experience so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The views and hiking were absolutely incredible—something I’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

A highlight of our trip!

This was a highlight of our trip! Being able to see the Abbey with almost no other visitors early in the morning was so peaceful. Our guide Albert was great, proving the context and history of the abbey. In our opinion, the best part is the hike through the mountains. The mountains side and views from the top are really something else - a beautiful way to take in all the natural beauty. Here too Albert was a great guide! High energy and clearly a passion for the outdoors. Comfy shoes are an absolute must. The hiking trail can be challenging in parts but totally worth it once you are at the top.

Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group take?

+

Plan for about 6.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 135 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group?

+

Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 6.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Montserrat very early: Hiking, Abbey, very small group start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
