Worth the day trip!!

This was a lovely tour! So much history and beauty to be inspired from. The monastery in Monserrat is stunning with many tucked away chapels throughout the mountain. Take the cable car up/down - it’s worth it. Sitges is a beautiful coastal quaint town. Again filled with history dating back to 1800’s. If you can, try a restaurant that is in one of the narrow streets - it’s more local and less touristy. And don’t skip getting gelato and horchata at La Jijonenca del carrer major!! Lastly, our tour guy David is the BEST!! He is full of enthusiasm and passion! He’s warm, friendly, patient and professional! He is so knowledgeable with the history and geography throughout our tour. We are so happy we added these two cities to our trip!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to write the review about our tour to Montserrat!

Informative and very safe.

Jordin, our guide was informing and professional. Our group of 8 felt like we were watched over regarding safety at all times. I chose not to go on the one hour hike to the chapel and cross because it was a little steep in places. I would highly recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: We are happy to see that you liked the small group tour thanks!

The tour guide, Jordi,...

The tour guide, Jordi, was awesome! Best tour guide we’ve ever had. The tour was great but the hiking climb at Montserrat is not as easy as indicated. There are some steep inclines that older folks will find challenging.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your comments. The day of your tour we had to modify the usual easy hike that we do because the cable car was not operating. We are happy though to see that you liked our guide Jordi!

Excellent tour with David

This was an excellent full-day tour with our guide, David. He was incredibly knowledgeable about every area we visited, and his enthusiasm was contagious. His English was perfect, and his cheerful personality made the whole experience even better. We learned so much about Montserrat, the monastery, and Sitges. We were lucky to witness a celebration at the monastery, which made the visit even more special. David guided us up the mountain to breathtaking views and shared fascinating insights along the way. In Sitges, he knew all the right spots to take us, and we thoroughly enjoyed each stop. The van was spacious and comfortable, and we felt completely safe with his driving—we even dozed off on the way back! Highly recommend this tour and David—he truly loves what he does, and it shows.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write these comments about our tour to Montserrat and Sitges

Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona cost?

+

Prices start at $83 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 180 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona?

+

Around 63 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Montserrat Monastery with Easy Hike & Sitges Tour from Barcelona start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
