Day in Montenegro from Cavtat
Well run tour, on time. Guide Anna was great... kind, relaxed, interacted with everyone, clear with instructions/expectations. Driver was also great. Tour gave just enough time at each stop.

Great tour great staff just a bit too touristy for me
It was a lovely bus trip. The driver and our tour guide were wonderful. Such a lovely young lady. Perast was a lovely little village full of charm and many pretty cats around. I was able to get my cat fix. Kotor was very nice but I found it was very touristy. And that’s just my opinion I’m not one for tourist hot spots. The boat ride from Perast to kotor was lovely and scenic . I can’t fault the tour or the tour guides it just wasn’t my cup of tea and I didn’t realise how touristy it was going to be. Lovely weather lovely tour.

Well planned trip
It was a very good trip. Everything was on time as planned. Our guide (Sandra) was very friendly and helpful. The trip with the boat was my favorite part. I would recommend it to everyone.

Don’t choose Select Dubrovnik as your tour guide for Kotor!
While Kotor is beautiful, Select Dubrovnik was not a good tour provider. What a disappointment. They were late 30 minutes to pick us up. Given that it is such a long trip, this was unprofessional and disappointing start to our day. We thought we were in the wrong pick up area at first and had to phone them twice to make sure they were coming at their designated meeting point. The tour guide was polite but disinterested. She made little effort to engage with everyone. There was little group dynamic. There was some historical details at first. Then, when we were on the beautiful boat trip to Kotor, there was NO commentary at all. There were monasteries, towns and buildings where I was curious but had to do searches about after I got back to Dubrovnik. I just didn’t feel the guide was interested or approachable. Given the cost of the tour and the amount of hours the guide spends with the group, some effort should be made. The most disappointing and bad value tour I’ve ever experienced. An effort and some professionalism needs to be made. Phoning it in doesn’t cut it for such a full day touring. Don’t use this tour provider!

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.
How much does Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay cost?
+
Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.
Is Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Montenegro with Boat cruise in Kotor Bay start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
