In this tour we visit Monsaraz. We would never allow that when coming to our region you could miss this incredible village. With breath taking views you can wonder the streets and feel that in there the time stopped. On the way there we will also visit a pottery shop at São Pedro do Corval. Located next to the biggest artificial lake of Europe, this amazing site was during centuries one of the most important castles of the region. A place of many trades and stories. Where the Portuguese fought many battles building the destination of the country. The whole village is UNESCO heritage, discovering it is a unique experience where the most beautiful landscapes will be unveiled. To finish big you will have the opportunity of participating in a wine tasting session, with wines that probably you have never heard, seen or tasted.

Great mix of History, Culture and Wine Tasting Trip
We were lucky to be the only two on the trip, so we ended up on a private trip with great knowledge, the right pace, and perfectly picked stops, with the highlight being the private wine tasting.

A ‘must-do’ tour from Evora!
Picked up from the city centre, Favio took us on a tour, but it was as if he had picked up some friends to take them there, such was the friendly banter between us! We visited a traditional artisanal pottery village, which probably had not changed for over a century, and then on to Monsaraz…a charming little village perched on top of hill, with a 360 deg panoramic vista, narrow cobbled streets lined with white-washed houses, a church and even a bullring! The castle fortifications date back to the 1340’s when the Knights Templar arrived, give it a special place in history. To complete the tour, a wine tasting with Ervideira Wine provided an hilarious finale to our visit. A ‘must-do’ tour from Evora!

Monsaraz and Wine from Évora: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Setubal District.
How much does Monsaraz and Wine from Évora cost?

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Setubal District usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Monsaraz and Wine from Évora take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Setubal District is not rushed.
Is Monsaraz and Wine from Évora worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Setubal District, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Monsaraz and Wine from Évora?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Monsaraz and Wine from Évora suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Monsaraz and Wine from Évora?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Setubal District can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Setubal District and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Monsaraz and Wine from Évora start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Setubal District within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Setubal District?
+
On Outty we rank every Setubal District experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sesimbra : Guided Kayak Tour in Arrábida Natural Park & Caves, Observation of Dolphins and Whales with Marine Biologist in Arrábida, Sesimbra: Arrábida Dolphin and Whale Watching tour with biologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Setubal District?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Setubal District?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
