Awesome Tour Of Monsanto and GOT sites
My family of six took the tour with Marco A. and we had a wonderful experience. He was very patient and hospitable. He made sure my older family members, in their 70s, were never left behind and were always engaged in the tour. His knowledge of Monsanto, the history and it’s relevance towards Portuguese history was tremendous. We never felt rushed as we took as many photos we could possibly want when it came to all the Game of Thrones sites. We highly recommended taking the tour with Marco if possible. You won’t be disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the delightful review. Your comments have touched us. We’re delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience and that your guide, Marco, catered to all your interests, engaged everyone, and made the experience truly special. It was a pleasure having you on board. Many thanks for the glowing recommendation.

A Fun Full-day Excursion!
Marco was an excellent & personable tour guide! He not only showed us the exact filming spots for “House of the Dragon”, but provided a historic summary of the village itself. We had lunch after exploring Monsanto & an unexpected side adventure meeting the village kittens! Definitely worth the visit in such a quaint, magical place. ✨
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind comments. Happy that you enjoyed the experience. It was a pleasure to share this whole day with you, full of discovery, learning, and fun. Thank you for your curiosity.

Great day in Monsanto!
My husband and I really enjoyed our day with Marco of The Amity Family! Marco came to pick us up in Cascais, he was prompt and the vehicle was very nice, comfortable and clean (and worked very well for my 6’10 husband). Marco was very informative, sharing with us not only about the tour we were on but some history of Portugal as well and we definitely appreciated that. It was a super hot day but he was prepared with lots of water for us. Once we completed the tour (which was awesome!) on our way back to Cascais, we stopped at Helana restaurant (Marco had already made reservations for us) and the food was amazing! We loved everything we ate and the chef came out to greet us, which is always a nice touch. I will definitely be recommending Marco and The Amity Family tours to friends who’ll be visiting Portugal. Top notch all the way!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review and recommendation. It was a pleasure to meet you and take you on tour to Monsanto. We're glad you enjoyed the experience and that we had the opportunity to introduce you to the filming locations for Game of Thrones as well as all the history and heritage of this village in the inland region of Portugal.

Monsanto - the most Portuguese village
From the moment I arrived in Portugal, I was struck by the warmth of its people and the charm of its landscapes. Each location revealed a new treasure, be it a cobblestone street lined with quaint cafes or a vibrant market buzzing with life. Among these marvels, one destination rose above the rest, leaving an indelible impression on my travels - Monsanto. I was in awe as I took in the history and beauty of the village of Monsanto. Our gifted tour guide, Marco, took us on a beautiful journey through time as he walked us through the breathtaking mountainous terrain and ruins of these amazing medieval fortifications. He never missed a beat as he spoke about historical events and timelines, architectural wonders, folklore and about its cultural vibrancy. This was by far one of the best experiences I had while visiting the lovely country of Portugal, it would not have been the same without Marco! He is extremely patient, kind, professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful.
Response from the operator: Wow! We are very happy with your appreciation and thank you very much for sharing your impressions. We are touched and honored to know that this guided tour was one of the highlights of your trip to discover Portugal. It was an absolute pleasure to tour guide you and your lovely family.Thank you very much.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Monsanto (TV's Game of Thrones) Full Day Private Tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
