About this experience
There are 3 stops on this full day tour. The first stop is the ”Fanefjord” Church. This 14th century church has a unique interior that survived through the Reformation in Denmark in 1536, when almost all Catholic churches had their interiors refurbished to accommodate the Protestant-Lutheran abolition of worshiping saints and a focus on the word, rather than the exterior and religious ceremonies. Second stop. The rural town of Stege. This is the lunch stop. Last stop is Mons Klint and the Goecenter. From the Geocenter to the beach, some 400 steps down. Have a descent to the beach maybe find some fossilized remains of these million year old crustaceans, snails, and octopuses. For those who are not so agile and adventures the GeoCenter Mon offers the geological history and explanation of the white chalk cliffs.

The guide will introduce you to the church's frescoes and their visual storytelling. The guide will also introduce you to the reason for the architecture of Danish churches. Despite strict rules and laws, the church community maintained the wishes to maintain its beautiful frescos from the 1350s. In the very Danish rural, small town main street, you can find a variety of lunch options, from classic Danish to more international cousins, while you absorb the local atmosphere of a small rural Danish town. Enjoy a walk around to absorb the atmosphere of summer holiday visitors from around Europe mixed with the locals' busy summer life, all in a setting of a more than 600-year-old town, modernized in the 1800 century but pretty much remained the same layout across the centuries.

Geo Center Mons Klint
The highlight of the tour is the last stop at Mons Klint and Geocenter at the 128-meter-high white chalk cliff created by millions of years of dead sea crustaceans sinking to the bottom of the sea. Then, being compressed, and the entire seafloor was turned 90 degrees to become the amazing Mons Klint of today. Not too fare from the Goecenter is the tiny summer palace: Liselund with is lovely little romantic garden and the tiny summer palace. Worth a stroll if the cliff claiming is not to you linking. Entrance to the palace is rare, and there is no schedule for the opening hours or days. This will all be by chance, but you will surely enjoy the romantic 1700-century garden design. Also, the 400 years old forrest surround the Geocenter, and the Liselund castle is worth a walk in this almost untouched nature.

An excursion to do if you are in good shape.
The visit to Møns Klint, if you want to go down to the bottom of the cliffs, is difficult, very many steps (about 1300 for a round trip). Visit to the church in the morning very interesting. Little time to eat at noon.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.
How much does Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark cost?
+
Prices start at $219 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark take?
+
Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.
Is Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mons(Møns) Klint A Day in rural Denmark start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?
+
On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Copenhagen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
