    Absolutely Wonderful! 10/10 Experience!

The Fondacion Loros, is a wonderful and magical place. Our experience started by being picked up by the private driver included with our excursion. Once arriving we were welcomed with a local breakfast and friendly smiles. We learned about the foundation their mission and how they originated. Its a wonderful program they have and definitely necessary. We were able to help prepare food for the birds and learn about their diet. The guides were absolutely wonderful, very knowlegable and kind. (They are also bilingual for those only english speakers.) They stop and show you exactly where to look when explaining the foundation, nature, and each animal on the reserve. They explain the proccess each bird undergoes for the rehabilitation process and its actually fascinating. Our group was very small which was nice because it felt intimate. Again the mission and values of this foundation are absolutely necessary and intentional. It's sad to see that these excursions are not very widely advertized when researching activities to do in Cartagena because it was our #1 activity when we came. I would absolutely reccomend everyone coming and indulging on the beauty and mission of this foundation.

Super experience and for a charitable course

Super experience with a charitable course. Giving the parrots who were illegal caved their freedom back. The team was enthusiastic and did everything in their power to give us the perfect tour. Friendly people and good local food.

    A great well planned day!

This was an amazing and educational experience. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast as soon as we arrived was the perfect start to the early morning and then it was right into the thick of preparing breakfast for the beautiful menagerie of parrots and macaws who were eagerly waiting for us to be finished. The monkeys were the absolute cutest thing I have ever seen and the macaws up the mountain put on a breathtaking show that I will never forget. We really appreciate Fundacíon Loros for opening their reserve to us and educating us on these amazing birds and animals!

Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +

Included: Breakfast. Not included: Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Monkey’s Creek: Hiking, Rugged Trails and wildlife Near Cartagena include hotel pickup?
