Pros and cons tbh

Boat ride was really cool, got to see monkeys up close, even some bats. You get to see the diverse vegetation and enjoy slow strolls through the canals. I do have to say it was very hard ordering an Uber to go back to our stay at Quepos, we had to walk a good 20-30 minutes until I had good signal for a driver. Was also a little disappointed that I didn’t get to see the crocodiles but that’s no one’s fault. I think they’re hard to spot overall. My ride was fine since it was only six people on board plus our guide seven. Other boats were filled to the brim and that might hinder some views. Also I would warn about booking this using TripAdvisor, the folks there seemed confused that I had a reservation so they spoke amongst themselves quite some time before they saw I did have a booking. Don’t be bamboozoled and make sure to contact the person in charge to confirm you have a spot.

Great and fun tour

Great tour through the mangrove. Ended up being a private family tour. Great guides and the monkeys were awesome.

How far in advance should I book Monkey Boat Tour, Manuel Antonio?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quepos?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quepos?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
