Amazing white water trip!
This was such an incredible experience! Our photographer Jonathan and our guide Nico were true professionals and we had the BEST time! It was somehow super safe and exhilarating at the same time! Even the lunch afterward was so much more than I expected! I would do this trip again and again.

Exhilarating and challenging!
Orland is an outstanding guide! He is very experienced and made the trip exciting and fun! You definitely have to be in good physical condition in order to climb aboard the transport vehicle taking you to the river as well as the short walk down the rocky and muddy banks of the river to the rafts. At the end of our trip, our driver, Mario was full of interesting facts about the native plants in the area. We even received a test on the various aromas the plants exude and received an "organic" tattoo! Unfortunately, we had one family member (in another raft) go overboard in the rapids. The guide Samuel quickly responded. All of us were aware of the risks we were taking before the tour began so you have to take the good with the bad and be prepared for an emergency!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the exhilarating review! We are so glad you took on the challenge of the Naranjo River White Rafting Class III-IV. We really appreciate you highlighting the physical requirements for the access points. It is true that getting to the river is often the first part of the workout | so that is great advice for future guests to keep in mind. We are also thrilled that Mario turned the drive back into a mini-botanical tour! Those "organic tattoos" and aroma tests are such a fun way to cool down after the adrenaline. Regarding the "swimmer" in the other raft, that is the reality of Class III and IV water! We are proud of Samuel for his quick response to get them back in the boat safely. We love that you embraced the true spirit of adventure, risks and all. Pura Vida, The Tucanes Tours Team

It is always special when the group size works out perfectly like that. Hidel and Orlando are a fantastic duo | they know how to balance the serious safety checks with the fun, educational vibe you mentioned. It turns the trip into more than just paddling; it becomes a real connection with the river. Thanks for sharing your memory with us! Pura Vida, The Tucanes Tours Team

An experience worth trying! We were a bit concerned with the safety but everything was well explained and we had an amazing time! Orlando was great! Knowledgeable and loved what he does. His team as well. This is a must-do experience in Costa Rica. Thank you guys for having us, Pura Vida!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the amazing review! We are so glad you decided to take the plunge on the Naranjo River White Rafting Class III-IV from Manuel Antonio. It is totally normal to have those pre-rafting butterflies (especially on a Class III-IV river!). We are really happy to hear our safety briefing and team instructions helped put your mind at ease so you could just focus on the adrenaline. Orlando is a legend on the river. You can really tell he loves the sport | and we are glad his passion and knowledge made the trip special for you. Thanks for trusting us! Pura Vida, The Tucanes Tours Team

Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.
How much does Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio cost?
+
Prices start at $104 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quepos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.
Is Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Naranjo River White Rafting Clas III-IV from Manuel Antonio start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quepos?
+
On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Waterfall Adventure, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Manuel Antonio Park Tour and its Amazing Wildlife and Beaches. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quepos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quepos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
