We were picked up for our...

We were picked up for our tour right on time by our driver Aslan. He was a great driver and very efficient. The tour guides at Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot were both great. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the history behind both champagne houses and the champagne manufacturing process. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Fun time and awesome champagne

Great day trip from Paris to two beautiful champagne houses! A few little stops along the way add to the experience. Our driver Max was very attentive and made the best use of our time. Even our twelve year old daughter who was concerned she would be bored had the best time!

A great way to experience 2 Champagne Houses!

A wonderful day to experience the Champagne region. Our driver picked us up at our hotel. We stopped at a boulangerie for some pastries and coffee - then proceeded to Moet & Chadon! The tour there was perfect. Not too long - just enough to give you a great understanding and then finished with a tasting of 2 glasses of champagne. Next we went to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Reims - absolutely beautiful. We had a stop for lunch and then he took us to Veuve Cliquot. We had the cellar tour and we finished with a tasting of 4 of their champagnes. It was a perfect day. Seeing two houses and tours of the cellars was perfect.

A very long day in Reims

This experience is marketed as a guided tour through Reims showing historic highlights of the city along with wine tours. Our experience could more accurately be described as a private drive to champagne tours only… Our driver promptly picked us up at our hotel and did successfully deliver us to our appointments at 2 champagne houses. He did not speak English well and did not talk to us during our nearly 2 hour drive to Reims. On the way to the lunch stop after our first tour at Veuve Clicquot he informed us that our next tour would be 4 hours later! He left us in a very touristy city center at a lackluster restaurant and encouraged us to visit the cathedral. This itinerary change was never communicated prior to the tour despite the fact that the tour company had reached out to share other itinerary changes prior to the tour. After spending nearly half a day browsing on our own he picked us up and delivered us to the final wine tasting at Tattingier. Both tastings were fine. The unexpected delay in the second tasting delayed our return by nearly 2 hours. Our group had to scramble to find dinner accommodations at such a late hour on a holiday weekend.

Response from the operator: We are thankful to all our customers participating at our trips but we don't like anyway if somebody lies. This trip is a Champagne tastings trip and not a historic highlights thrip. We visit 2 Champagne houses Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot where the local staff makes very nice English guided Cellars tours and tastings rated as a rule with 5 stars. We make as well two stops: one in Reims for self-guided Reims Cathedral visiting and onother in Hautvillers village for photo shooting of vineyards and Dom Perignon church visit. This is a small cultural addition offered free of charge. It is a Private experience (not shared) so no other guests in our Mercedes.

Do Veuve Tour; Only need one tour.

4 Stars only due to the so-so tour at Moët. The tour guide there was not that good. Too much filler on the tour as well. The second tour at Veuve was much better. Roman was a nice driver and helpful. I would do a single tour at Veuve and the morning 4-hour tour there. They serve the Grande Dame in that tour.

Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris cost?

+

Prices start at $295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Moet et Chandon Veuve Clicquot Private Champagne trip from Paris start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

+

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

+

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
