Palm Springs At A Glance! The tour covered so many subjects - palm tree varieties, old star homes, boulders everywhere!

No children under 6 are allowed. One of our adults had to stay back with our 3 year old. I think this should be mentioned when tickets are advertised.. As a former teacher, this would hold little interest for a child of most ages!

Response from the operator: When a guest just shows up with a little child without making an arrangement beforehand, it is a difficult situation both for the driver and for the mother. Five Star Adventures Tours want all of our guests on each tour to be able to enjoy and to get the most out of the tour without disruption. This cannot be guaranteed when a baby or very young child goes with the general public. If you have a very young little one, call ahead, and we will happily accommodate you with a private tour. The Five Star Adventures website states that the Legends & Icons Tour is "not appropriate" for children under 12. That said, if a family wants to take children over six years of age, they can go with the public tour at a price that is lower than for the adult. Every person, no matter the age, will sit in their own seat. Car seats are required for children according to their weight, as it is not an option for a baby to sit on an adult's lap because it is unsafe for the child. We love kids, we want them to be safe, and we want to accommodate each family the best way possible.

Great way to get to know Palm Springs

Annette was our tour guide and did an absolutely fantastic job. She has an incredible amount of knowledge of Palm Spring and kept us entertained from the tour's start to its finish. And not just about the architecture but the stories behind the architecture including a little bit of gossip for good measure, as well. She can be serious one minute and hilarious the next. She has lived in Palm Springs for 30 plus years and it's obvious that she loves the city and loves sharing what she knows with others. I've taken many tours of many cities over the years and never have I enjoyed one more.

    So so tour

Nothing wrong with this tour, and nothing special, thus the average rating. Good orientation to the area and fun to see where the stars lived. There were some gossipy bits to color the presentation. Tour included some info about the geology of the area. All in all, overpriced.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, we hope you enjoyed your visit to the valley.

Generally a fun and comfortable tour

Good: Guide was very knowledgeable. We were in a VERY comfortable vehicle. It was a small sized tour...there were six of us and maximum would be about 9 I think. We saw many homes. Interesting. Not so good: Tour guide was sarcastic and almost nasty at times. He spoke way too quickly. After saying that he wouldn't take questions (a joke apparently) he then kind've ignored questions (maybe he couldn't hear?). Many houses behind greenery, fences - so should drive by at a much slower speed.

Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Palm Springs.

How much does Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs cost?

    +

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Palm Springs usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Palm Springs is not rushed.

Is Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Palm Springs, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Palm Springs can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Palm Springs and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mods & Icons Tour of Palm Springs start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Palm Springs within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Palm Springs?

    +

Palm Springs sells architecture tours through midcentury neighbourhoods, Aerial Tramway trips up San Jacinto, Indian Canyons hikes, Joshua Tree stargazing and windmill farm runs. Shade, water and pickup points separate a good desert tour from a rough one. On Outty we rank every Palm Springs experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bank Heist Escape Room Game for Private Group, Palm Springs Modernism Architecture & History Bike Tour, Vampire's Lair Escape Room Game for Private Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Palm Springs?

    +

November to April. Book dawn or evening slots in summer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Palm Springs?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
