Disaster from start to finish
A disaster from start to finish. Went to the meeting point but coaches parked all along the road so missed 2. before crossing the road to flag one down. Once on board, the guide couldn’t retrieve the tickets. We showed her our payment info and she what’s apps the other guides to let them know we could board. After visiting the Duomo, we tried to board another line. The guide again tried to access our tickets and eventually told us to go to another bus. We missed the bus we wanted by this stage. The sellers of the tickets again tried to access our tickets but couldn’t find them. Eventually after looking through the email, he found in the small print a link which took us to the tickets. This was all stressful and too late to get a red or yellow line. The guides told us they were having trouble with Viator and showed us on his phone a long list of problems. Obviously there is some miscommunication somewhere. After complaining to Viator they said they would give us a refund but on investigation told us they wouldn’t. The trip would have been fine if it was with another company.
Response from the operator: Dear Jan H, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Upon reviewing your booking, we confirmed that the actual tickets were duly shared with you via email and on the WhatsApp number provided. When you contacted our team, we immediately connected with you by phone, assisted you with the ticket access, and also shared the live bus-tracking option to help you with the journey. We would like to clarify that the actual attraction/transport tickets need to be presented for boarding, rather than the confirmation voucher. We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your feedback, as we continue to improve the experience for our guests.

How far in advance should I book Milan Open Bus Sightseeing Tour with Audio Guide?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
