    A great food tour

We had a wonderful walking food tour with Marco! We visited several places, had delicious food at each one, and learned more about Milan along the way. This tour is perfect if you want to

    Amazing flavors and tour

Simon was fantastic!! The 3 hours city tour and the food stops were the perfect way to begin our day. We really enjoyed the experience and getting to discover the city while trying some great local flavors.

A real taste of the city

Luca was a fantastic guide. You can tell from the way he talks that he’s truly passionate about food and Italian history and culture. His knowledge of the local cuisine and traditions is outstanding. The tour included both sweet and savory bites. I’d absolutely suggest doing it early in your trip so you know exactly where to find the best places to eat.

Tour was ok, but wasn't a food tour or walking tour

I'm going to preface this by saying this was on a Sunday. It wasn't really either a food tour or a walking tour. Food included a charcuterie board with wine, a small cannoli (other option was ice cream) and a shot of espresso. We walked through a few blocks of the Brera, a school of arts to see the gardens (they were closed) and to see the future section of town. The guide was fine, but if you're charging me for a private tour, please feed me food from the region we're in. We didn't have any risotto or osso buco, which are both Milanese special dishes.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry if the experience did not fully meet your expectations, however some of the comments are not fully accurate. The guide never stated that you were satisfied with the tour, even though you kindly left a tip. All the locations advertised in the tour itinerary were visited as published. Regarding the gelato stop, since it was cold that day, you were kindly asked if you would prefer gelato or another option, and you chose a cannolo. The tour never advertised ossobuco or risotto as included dishes, and these were not part of the offer. Finally, the visit to the Brera Academy of Fine Arts was completed as described. The gardens were closed that day, which was an unfortunate situation beyond our control, but the main visit is to the Academy itself rather than its gardens. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoyed other parts of the tour.

    Great food tour!!

What a fantastic experience this turned out to be. It honestly went beyond anything we were expecting. Our guide, Marco, did an amazing job guiding us through the streets of Milan while we tasted a variety of incredible food and drinks. At one stop, he showed us how locals order their aperitivo, and we ended up laughing while trying to copy him. The whole night was such a good time and felt like great value for what we got. By the end of the tour, we were completely full and so happy we booked it. Definitely recommend!

Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.

How much does Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights cost?

    +

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.

Is Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Milan Gourmet Food and Drinks Private Tour with Highlights start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Milan?

    +

On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Milan?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Milan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
