An unforgettable excursion on the Atlas Mountains with an exceptional guide!
We had a fantastic tour of the Atlas Mountains accompanied by Idris, and we couldn't be more satisfied. Idris (Dissou) is a truly delightful person, very nice and speaks excellent Italian, explaining many things to us along the way and taking care of every detail. On the road to the mountains we stopped in a splendid place: a small lake with crystal clear drinking water (Idris had the courage to drink it directly, surprising us!) and we allowed ourselves a photo stop near a beautiful apple orchard. We then arrived in the monkey area: a unique and very fun experience, even if a bit exciting! The monkeys are close and cute, but you have to be careful not to show food or keep it in bags because they can become aggressive; the same goes for the local goats, which if they see an apple in your hand do not hesitate to jump on you. We bought peanuts and apples from local vendors and spent a beautiful hour observing them. On the way back we stopped in Ifrane for a coffee, while Idris waited for us patiently, and we had lunch in a very simple but authentic place, eating some excellent brochettes. The only less exciting note was an unplanned stop at a cave (with a small extra of €1 per person), where they offered us herbal tea and a Berber gentleman played and sang; it wasn't really our thing, but it is part of the little travel adventures. Overall, the experience was absolutely wonderful, made even more special by the professionalism and friendliness of Idris. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to explore this area in total safety and excellent company!

Trip around Fez
A wonderful trip around Fez with Omar telling us curiosities and guiding us through the towns. A very good experience and a very pleasant atmosphere. I recommend both of them, Omar and the driver Driss.

Fantastic excursion through the Atlas.
A ONE-DAY excursion HIGHLY recommended!! A unique experience, in our case as a family, seeing exotic animals, beautiful places, and typical Moroccan scenery. Our companions were wonderful (Omar and Driss). Omar was very nice, funny, and constantly providing explanations about the country, its culture, religion, customs, and peculiarities... Both were very attentive to us. A 10!!

Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.
How much does Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.
Is Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Middle Atlas Day Trip from Fes Explore Villages and Nature start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fez?
+
On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days, 2Days groupe Tour Fes To Fes Or Marrakech Via Sahara Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fez?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fez?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
